there's this place in Milwaukee called American Science and Surplus. It's in an old Big Lots building and they just sell all sorts of military and scientific surplus goods. there's usually a whole pile of IIes and random other 'puters sitting around in there. it's p cool.

American Science & Surplus is very much my kind of poo poo, miss it from when I lived in the Chicago area you should get yourself a couple old Macs and network them with PhoneNet and play old Mac games with your wife do not underestimate the fun of Tetris and NetTrek and Dark Castle and Crystal Quest on that beautiful blue-white 9in screen (also, uh, if they ever happen to have a Macintosh Portrait Display…)

i have tons of old macs anyone can have for shipping just lmk most are fully loaded and cosmetically ugly, like you g5 dp 2.0 pm6100/60 w/ g3 upgrade mac plus with masochistic 'hit me' analog board daddy issues quadra 605 with flaky scsi lciii that works fine mactv with a 575 board that needs analog board or ribbon cable work and like 1gb of 32mb 72pin simms

every time I yearn for this crap again I remember when I had built up a collection of specced out iconic 68k and powerpc macs and never used them. I took 3 PowerBook G3s through airport security just to give them away to buds in florida
