This is the thread for talking about La-Mulana 2, the kickstarted sequel to the 2014 remake of the 2005 freeware PC game that was a spiritual sequel to Konami's Knightmare II: The Maze of Galious for the MSX. It releases for PC on July 30th, 2018 for $24.99 USD. True story - I accidentally did my first ever playthrough in hard mode, because I thought that Forbidden Slab only affected the room it was in and in the original all it did (in that room) was spawn a bunch of those wall holes that drop the blob monsters. It's much more obvious in the remake where it spawns those death anubises or whatever they were.

This summer is so fuckin loaded with Metroidvanias and they are kicking it off with what will surely be the best one. I'm so so so excited for this. All other games are being put on the backburner until I see credits roll.

How exactly how they dealing with the costume keys? I backed the game at a high enough tier that I'm getting the max amount and was wondering if they're going to be a separate dlc key or something? Don't see anything in my stuff abut it and dressing up Lumisa is of the upmost importance.

I loved La Mulana but I hope it's just a little less obtuse this time around  (edit) Looks like it's not, it appears to be La Mulana 2 in spirit as well as in name. Mostly good, but, well, it's a good thing this is a few spots back on my backlog
