um excuse me posted:Those axles across from each other are offset. That's how they work. The truck basically has pinion gears on the driveshaft, and thhe axles each have a ring gear. inside each housing, each ring gear is driven off a different pinion gear  Pinzgauers do it too.  The spider gears/locker is right in the middle there.

Was woken up at like 5am this morning by loud exhaust and figured it was some asshat with straight pipes on a Harley. But then an hour or so later a while parade of lumpy cam V8s start rolling down my street and by the time I got out of bed to see what was up there was a classic car show running 30 blocks up the street! It's apparently the Greenwood Classic Car show in Seattle running all day today. I'll take a few pictures of anything AI worthy and report back.
