I really want some to ask guys like Uematsu, Matsuno, etc about the projects they've been endorsed, just to see if they feel remorse or admit to any degree of culpability in getting people to fund shitshows like Project Phoenix and Unsung Story.

I could be wrong but I believe there's some weirdness about who actually owns Turrican, or it's split between regions so one group only has it for some of the world and the original creator guy has it elsewhere? something like that.

The people behind the recent Giana Sisters games pitched a Turrican reboot not too long ago, it didn't go anywhere but they posted their pitch online: http://imgur.com/gallery/kp4OS

If the description wasn't so self-jerking I would think this was secretly a satire and the big plot twist is that you're playing a bunch of uncaring egomaniacs looking to siphon all the energy out of the world. Make that into a game. Imagine Vampire Bloodlines with the Malkavians but every single dialog choice with not-Molyneux a blatant lie.

Aww this sucks :( Twisted Dreams was great and definitely would like Black Forest to make new Turrican.

Apparently Manfred Trenz owns all the rights since 2011, since THQ didn't renew them. So I guess it was him who wasn't interested in Black Forests' vision?

How do you make a trailer and miss the fact that your voiceover guy hosed up the pronunciation of the fourth goddamn word

Like, I think it might even be clever (the adventure game guy being able to arbitrarily interact with anything in the world is pretty funny) but holy hell they hosed up the camera that they used in the trailer. Look at that fuckin' movement stutter! They're moving the characters on twos! Why would you ever do this?

I think the first red flag was when they admitted that their programmer (who at the time they didn't even actually have secured) actually wanted some sort of salary instead of going full royalties and it took them years to find a new one, who apparently hasn't been getting much work done in the meantime.

FleetCOMM's C/C++/Lua/OpenGL core
FleetCOMM's texture and shader assets

Here's what I lost.

Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 (can re-write all of this, will take time)

The MacOSX build (can be re-written, and was previously tested on a Mac)

I'm honestly okay with this. "We need more development time to make the game good, and we're announcing it well in advance" is pretty much the most reasonable excuse for a delay you can do

Yeah, I'm curious who they'll end up bringing on to help finish the game.

Incidentally, that pretty much spells the end of the Wii U/Vita versions.

IGA was already talking about dropping Wii U and picking up NX well before they announced this delay. Remember, the company doing Wii U/Vita port has to port UE4 to those platforms before they can even start porting the game, it's a ludicrous amount of work and I expect they'll start talking about killing those versions the moment the NX is revealed.

I really, really enjoy the Wii U. It is one of my favorite purchases. I have a ton of fun playing games on it with my son. It feels really polished, as well. But, I would never expect any game I kickstart now, or within the past year or so, to provide a port for it, even if they previously said they would. I can not imagine a situation in which a loving Wii U is your only way to play games.

Hey, thanks! Missed your post before :)

By the way, someone got a dagger in our campaign! That's a $1000 pledge, I didn't believe someone would get it but here we go! Legends of Eisenwald Kickstarter campaign in 2012 sold two pledges for $2000 (become a character in the game), now $1000 is sold too (I pray to God it won't be cancelled and it's not a mistake). It seems it's worth to add reasonable high level pledges.

I am tempted to do more research about high tier pledges when I have more time. Did you guys see any high tier ($1000+) rewards being popular?

We posted yesterday our 2011 gameplay prototype, it was almost year before Kickstarter in 2012 where we were naive thinking we would finish development in a year or so :)

Not as far as I know but they've been in pre-campaign hype mode for a long time.

Here's something that might be a red flag: does anyone remember C-Wars, another very early kickstarter game that looked a little like Megaman Battle Network? That game went to poo poo when a bunch of the team quit and it seems most of the people who left that game are now working on Code Hardcore.
