Taker needs to crawl into a hole and never wrestle again. Only saving grace is that Cena can actually deadlift the old man and physically carry his corpse to a decent match. Unlike Roman.

I dunno which story is more disconnected from reality, John Cena not making it to wrestlemania or Roman being an undervalued, underpaid employee who is standing up against "Vince's boy" getting everything he wants. Couldn't Cena just offer to be Braun's partner now?

The story within the story here is that Cena wants a main event match. He's only taken the high-risk high-reward opportunities to go to Mania. At any point, he could've said put together a tag team to challenge The Bar or challenged Miz or said "Hey, I'm in the battle royale!" or just pointed to a guy and said "I wanna fight you at Wrestlemania!" and he can still go up to Randy and challenge him. He wants to be in one of the top three matches or it's not even worth showing up, apparently.

Be more believable if Cena didn’t wanna go to Wrestlemania but Vince kept escalating it to force him into a match. I’m John Cena and I’m sick of going to Wrestlemania since I’ve been to each one for the past 2 decades.

There were ways to do this story and you wouldn't even have to change anything about it, but this whole bit where WrestleMania is some mythical promised land is just another obnoxious example of the brand being bigger than the stars.
