I’ve heard and read a lot of takes about how Ireland really revivified the show and gave it the truly manic energy of the first 5 seasons and that sounds just peachy

I still don’t really understand how a comedy where the joke is “these characters absolutely should not be doing blackface” is somehow vulnerable to these kinds of sensitivity. Like… isn’t that how jokes work?
