I didn't mean to get too into my latest EUIV file because I know the patch is coming but I delved back into my lovely Portugal start. Beelining colonial techs and can't wait to leave Franco dominated Europe in the dust

They're still mine and they pay me but the AI controls the nations now. Probably something they added since launch since I haven't played a colonial powerhouse since 2013.

You can still try again if you colonize in a different colonial region (like Colombia/La Plata/Brazil) and move capital while yoh still have 3 or less provinces on it (it turns into a subject with 4+) Plutonis fucked around with this message at 05:50 on Jun 5, 2016 |

I stopped for now but I just tried to give them all of my North American outposts so I could make a clean break and start spreading south. Kinda odd that there's no straight transfer option and giving my own colonial outpost power colonies lowers my prestige.

Once you finish your colonies, they'll automatically transfer to colonial nations in the same region.
