Oh man, I got a couple of hours in the lab with Quan Chi His poo poo is so easy. Off Zombie (bf3) he has a combo that lands for 25% damage every single time. The best part, it's blindingly easy to do and involves literally no cancels after the initial zombie. Full combo is Open - bf3 - f2122 - f124 You can land zombie off almost any attack that he does, so if you tap a dude you're hitting them for 25%. If you're in the corner you can throw a neutral jump 1 in between the two combos for additional damage. The best part is that this is available in an QC variation and is easy enough that even a moron like me can do it.

a bunch of nerds from work bought this game and are like hey lets have a tournemenat and fight it out mortal kombat style and winer takes all and im like "so what is the prize si nce I will be winning  "and this dude who has neverp layed a mortal kombat is like "heh ill own you scubs you dont even kno" and im just like man cassie cage is going to neeed extra ammo on the night of that tournament becuz its gonna be brutality city baby  still contesting nothing is funnier than ending a fight with cassies brutality - I was using brwlawer and it was prettyy good but spec ops owns a lot Ill even wear my shades like her dad and be like "jokes on u guys lol" and my eyes will glint as I own them in mortal kombat in this thread I posted my love and labor for lmortal kombat nad no one will take that away from me. definitely not some work nerds, there better be chicken wings and piza or it will just be a nother night ofowning noobs in the nether realm I keep asking "SO when is this PROPOSed tournament" and the answer is "TBD." that is how nerdy they are, cant even find a date for a nerd night of gaming . .. I call him "scrub zero" becuz he is going to get owned by spec ops cassie cage a lot.

Poked my toe into online, and it played out exactly as I suspected it would. I got totally trashed by a Mileena and especially by a Subzero player, for two different reasons. The Subzero had like a 146-10 record so I knew I had no chance, and he did almost nothing but little pokes. He kept doing this little mini-kick thing from standing position and I couldn't get anything out. My fastest poke (quanchi) just didnt seem quick enough to get through his poke barrage. The Mileena match made me realize something else, which is also what I didn't like about MK9 online- the very slight feel of latency. He kept doing a lot of rolls and teleport kicks and I was able to block most of them, but I could only punish maybe a third of the time- he was able to block after his move otherwise. It's almost like I need to input the punish before I think I should, letting the slight delay do it's work. My brain doesn't like adjusting to online

I have already run the gamut of matches(good to laggy) and punishing isn't really one of the problems.

I finished the Klassic Tower tonight, and all I got for it was a bronze trophy on PS4. :/ Well 55,000 Koins as well by the time I was done. That was 24 fighters, 240 matches, 480 rounds.

So the 15gb patch I mistakenly downloaded on Steam today has made my game noticeably worse. I never dropped frames under the old system but since the update I drop frames on like half the stages. gently caress.

When I did pools for DOA5 at Final Round they were 3 hours long, after awhile you can build up an endurance to marathon that many matches in a row with only minor fatigue. I've actually discovered that I don't like playing as Johnny Cage and that makes me sad, as he's my favorite MK character.

Raiden hasn't really hosed up that hard though, it's just goons being goons. It's a shame that it's only when he gets super pissed do things finally begin to turn around because then he's willing to break the rules. I hope we get a Raiden spin off game where we explore where he went after Kano "snared" him. Also that scene where Raiden was just lying on the ground getting the poo poo kicked out of him was probably my most favorite scene in the game, even though Raiden's my man.

People trying to optimize combos will need to think outside the box about these things because there are some oddities in the damage scaling.
