I know it sounds like I'm beating a dead horse, but cycle through all the carbines/rifles for half an hour each, then do the M16/M416 at the end and you'd see how superior they were to the other Operator weapons in every way at every range. AKM was good, but it didn't touch them in terms of TTK at any range.

Hopefully less so now, though.

Seriously. The usability on the M416 is hilarious. It was a laser beam that could outsnipe snipers. Even if the AKM was harder hitting, it didn't matter because it was outclassed in range and ease of use.

This is a bullshit change, the 870 already felt a bit crap compared to the dart version from BF 4 with sad range limits in a world of super accurate, super fast firing guns that do well at most ranges.

I'm going to guess they nerfed the max damage range from 50m to something more reasonable. The ridiculous damage to vehicles is the result of a known bug so it isn't really a balance issue.

I think that the foreign languages were given up because of an balancing issue. If you're on the Russian team, your enemy can't understand your callouts while you can understand theirs just fine. I still think that it should be an option, particularly with War Tapes, since I like hearing the foreign languages. Of course this point is moot in Hardline but still

The answer is always "It isn't the final build" there is plenty of time to tighten up the graphics on level three or at least make it so textures don't magically disappear if you get more than 50 feet off the ground. I think the fact that they patched the beta is a good sign, even if the shotgun changes are kneejerk pubbie reactions. I can't remember who it was but someone caused a pubbie to have a racist meltdown the other day by using the 870 on him, any weapon causing that sort of reaction should remain as is.
