I need a new avatar. I was gonna replace Alex in this GIF with Berry, but I feel like MNF old man needs to be retired. Ehud gave me an avatar cert like 4 months ago and I still haven't used it so now I feel bad.

TheChirurgeon posted:And the case against is that drafting a safety in the top 10 hasn't worked out most of the time (Roy Williams was drafted before Ed Reed woooooo). The Chargers will probably draft a safety, but the Titans are just as likely to look at CB and WR with their two first round picks. In fact Ed Reed was a widely panned selection at the time. People were not happy with that pick. Everyone was pissed the Ravens would pick a safety when they were in a period of major rebuilding. People were like "Yeah he will probably be a bust too". But it turned out he was a pretty great player. I even saw lots of his interceptions live.

I probably would've drafted a Shannon Sharpe instead of Ed Reed.

I honestly feel like safety's more important than cornerbacks in this day and age of the NFL. They certainly seem to have longer careers or at least longer peaks. Maybe it's just because I've seen a bears safety let jordy nelson or randall cobb run behind them for touchdowns 2 times a game for the last 8 years

No Butt Stuff posted:I probably would've drafted a Shannon Sharpe instead of Ed Reed. We already had Todd Heap at the time. Heap was potentially there but never quite reached that level because of the mess that our offense was. And we never acquired a great WR to complement him. We had Mason but he was in his own category. A kind of sub-Sharpe. Ed Reed wound up being such a cool player and a staple of our team for the next coming decade. Right now we have Lardarius Webb at safety and I think he's alright when he's healthy. But yeah we need another Ed Reed too. I wish those were easy to come by. But you rarely see them. I know we don't need another Matt Elam.

Feel like the Divisional is the ceiling for the Hawks this year, too unsettled, too many injuries, and the line needs more work and time. So hey! If we win, hell yeah! Definitely not expecting to though.

Greg Olsen and shannon Sharpe have near identical per game numbers , lol. and Olsen was misused in Chicago quite badly. the tight end position sure has changed. 4 catches, just under 50 yards and .3 TDs a game. mastershakeman fucked around with this message at 03:30 on Jan 12, 2017 |
