My thoughts: Location and fitout: Estate - 5 RP, 20 Space (Civ, Cri, Int, Par) Brig - 2 RP, 2 Space (Cri, Int, Law, Mil) Communications Links - 2 RP, 1 Space (Any) Firing Range - 2 RP, 4 Space (Civ, Cri, Int, Law, Mil) Workstation - 1 RP, 1 Space (Any) Weapons: Handgun (5) - 1 RP (Civ, Cri, Int, Law, Mil) Stunner, Ranged (5) - 1 RP (Civ, Cri, Law, Mil, Sci) Silencer (10) - 1 RP (Cri, Int, Mil) Misc. Gear: B&E Kit (4) - 1 RP (Civ, Cri, Int, Law) Electronic Lockpick (2) - 1 RP (Civ, Cri, Int, Law) Lockpick (5) - 1 RP (Civ, Cri, Int, Law) Cell Phone (6) - 1 RP (Any) Doctor's Bag (5) - 1 RP (Civ, Cri, Law, Mil, Sci) Handcuffs (12) - 1 RP (Any) Uniform (24) - 1 RP (Any) Vehicles: Surveillance Van - 7 RP (Civ, Cri, Int, Law) SWAT Van - 7 RP (Int, Law, Mil) Coupe (2) - 4 RP (Any) Total: 40/45 RP That leaves us with five RP to spend on Workspaces or additional gear. Possible alterations: Field Hospital - 3 RP, 2 Space The other medical facilities are nice but too expensive. Alternatively, we can get an Ambulance for 5 RP and use that, although only one "bed". Drop the two coupes and get a single Van - 3 RP. This saves us one RP but would make us a bit less flexible. If we do get the ambulance, though, we will need to drop at least one coupe. I concur with MaliciousOnion, with the extras of more surveillance gear, including counter-intel. Also, drop a coupe and spend actual cash on the other to save 4 RP, steal the occasional set of number-plates because I have no qualms doing so. crowtribe fucked around with this message at 13:38 on Aug 17, 2014 |

I am concerned with the lack of science facilities. If there isn't some basement lab built into/next to the wine cellar for my character to do her things, we're doing this wrong.

I updated my wishlist with costs. One thing I noticed though, we all agree we need handguns, and 1 RP will buy us 5, but there are 6 of us. So, we either spend an extra RP, or somebody doesn't get a pistol.

Also, note WHICH RP you use where. This WILL matter later; knowing you have 5 RP left over doesn't tell me if it's 5 S&R or one of each, or what.

This is my Military RP contribution wishlist 1 RP for 5 assault rifles and 5k bullets 1 RP for 40 grenades. (Mainly frag and flash with some smoke and thermite) 1 RP for 250lb of C4 1 RP for 6 kevlar vests 1 RP for 50 detonators Ditch the full body armor, IMO its not needed. Keep the handguns. Assault rifles/grenades/explosives are for special occasions. Don't think we need the swat van, that said the free gear is worth it for the price. Agreed. I also believe a Crown Victoria/roller registered to a federal department for regular transport - we can't always rock up in a Lab Van or stolen vehicle from a chop shop.

Okay, finally getting to this stuff. I would say assuming the last five RP are the science and research, we do this: 1 for a workspace geared towards science (biochemistry) So I can go all science on alien bodies or whatever. 2 RP for a biohazzard suits (25 count) 1 for a quarantine tent That's really it. I'll leave the bullets and surveillance gear four you folks doing that stuff; just met me dress up in a silly suit and reenact 12 Monkeys

So, right now, combining Mrs. Dyne and MO's base wishlists, here we are with the estate: 5 Criminal 9 LEO, 7 Mil, 5 Intel, 5 S&R +Estate (5 Criminal RP) -Pool -Gym -Six Dorms -Four Car Garage -One 4-Space Facility 5/20 Space *Communications Links (2 Intel RP, 1 Space) *Firing Range (2 LEO RP, 4 Space) *Mainframe (5 Military RP, 1 Space) +Global Mapping Software (1 Intel RP) +Image Processing (1 Intel RP) +Science Expert System (1 Intel RP) *Storage Vault (2 LEO RP, 1 space) *2 Workspaces (Pick the skills, 2 LEO RP, 2 Space) *Briefing Room (Soundproof, Bugproof, TEMPEST Resistant, 2 LEO RP, 1 space) *Workstation (1 LEO RP, 1 Space) *Biohazard Suite (5 S&R RP, 2 Space) * Brig (2 Mil, 2 Space) So, if we go with that, assuming we don't change around RP spending (and I had to change it a little as it was. I think we were spending more LEO than we had), we're left with 10 Intel RP 3 Military RP 1 LEO RP 0 S&R RP 0 Criminal RP for equipment, weapons, vehicles, etc. If we want that NSA Magic Van (which maybe we should get, because it's all the surveillance we can want, that takes up the 10 intel, leaving us with 3 Military and 1 LEO for weapons and such). Bumping this because one of our cell members just bought the farm, and we'll need to bring the cell back up to full strength. Currently, three members are out on assignment to NYPD to learn more about a murder victim, while the other three (now down to two) went to check out the crime scene and ran into the murderer, who has turned out to be a paranormal monstrosity that killed the army ranger. The other two are now fleeing the scene in a Lincoln Continental. Since the group has not gained any XP yet or hit any down time, there's no extra points to consider on creation. Someone who can replace Gates as either a weapons expert or a paranormal expert would be great, but I'll take anyone into consideration. You'll come in during the group's downtime and I can explain downtime in the game thread from there. Recruitment will be open until NYPD team is done, or Friday the 19th, whichever comes first. If you already posted a submission and want to be considered as a replacement, please either link to the post after this one, or just repost it. Thanks!

I had a quick few questions. I read over the last incident in the game thread, and the one thing I noticed was that you were using the invisible castle roller. Was there a specific reason for this over Orokos? Just out of curiosity. Also, on a probability scale of 1 to Men in Black 3 (10), how likely is it that first responders might be called because of the rampaging monster man from that incident, and how Kosher would it be to play one of them? I find IC quicker to use than Orokos, and IC tends to give better rolls for players. Also, first responders would probably be called, but it all depends on what you wanna play. You could be an AEGIS sleeper that's getting this as their 'hey get to work' call, but it likely wouldn't be your first time dealing with poo poo like this.

I was thinking I'd cut out the middle man with the Pulling Strings: SWAT and just play an actual SWAT officer, likely taken out of the field officially on investigative suspension for shooting a suspect in the field, unofficially because the suspect in question was paranormal. That could give the team the firearms support they need along with a few more connections. I'd also probably want to scrap together an outline of a Profession: SWAT Officer if I did so. I figured it could be tied into the story by relating it to the incident covered in game, but that's subject to your approval.
