I could expand to 20 players and fit in everyone on priority if merk declines. However, there would be approximately six 36-hour days to compensate (likely days 14-19 or something similar) -- my main concern is having this game wrapped up before Christmas. Are there any objections to this idea?

Merk has declined. I think I'm going to expand to 20 and cut off signups here, provided FL still wants in, otherwise we will be at 19. The game will officially start at noon and I will send out PMs to remind people the game is on.
