I’m guessing since Xbox sales have fallen off a cliff since 2022 they scrapped the plans for an actual redesign and just stuck with new colors and storage tiers. I doubt we’ll see the leaked ‘Sebile’ controller now either.

I knew the $15 fc24 sale was a last ditch effort at sales before dumping on gamepass, glad I resisted Figured there would be a bit more lead time between Sandrock hitting gamepass though and kinda wish I would have held onto my $30 with that one. At this point I'm just waiting on another sale on the current 1TB model (including possibly a refurb) and will get a 2nd one of that for my living room, the new holiday SKUs are too expensive especially for what they'll undoubtedly cost in Canadian dollars. I already have a 2tb expansion card that I transfer between my current Series X and Series S, and can just use that for the 2nd Series X.

Steamworld Dig 2 is, in my opinion, a sneaky contender for one of the best games of the past ten years. Like, somewhere in the top 10 or 15. It's just so god drat enjoyable.

There's a rumor that Capcom's MT Framework pipeline might no longer work for compiling Xbox code due to new mandatory GDK versions, which would also explain why those games tend to not have actual PS5 versions, only PS4 versions (that will run on a PS5), and Capcom likely expects those titles wouldn't sell enough on Xbox to justify the costs of the work that would be required to bring their MT Framework pipeline into current Xbox compatibility.

That would be nonsense because there's literally no reason why you wouldn't want to use the GDK. It was also one of the easiest moves we did for the next gen consoles (we had to do it during production of Quake 1).

I'm trying to DL cricket 22 (yeah yeah yeah im sure it sucks but I'm watching a bit of the world cup and wanted to check it out) and it just.... stops dling at 18gbs. It's on gamepass but it just stops there. I've tried twice now and dled some small games in between to make sure its not my console and had no problem with any other game. Can someone figure this out/ attempt to dl it also?

I see I'm not the only one bummed out that the Marvel vs Capcom collection isn't coming to Xbox. We're getting ports of Fantasian, Ace Attorney Investigations, the Dragon Quest HD games, MIO, and that Looney Toons sports game though. And that Metal Slug tower defense game is already out for $10. 'Twas a solid Direct this morning. New Zelda looks cool and it's nice to see Metroid Prime 4 still alive and kicking. Oh, and the N64 Perfect Dark with online multiplayer was a plus.
