how is this even possible when the median income across all ages is already at the low end of that graph? If you're gonna have a huge bulge in the middle the average income for the edges would have to be like 20k.

median household income is like 75k. its clearly going by that and head of household.

that said even the median household income is kind of fucky because a lot of zoomers/millennials live with their parents but dont claim as dependents.

It doesn't say "median household income" it says "median income". How would household income even work by age, you average everyone's age in the household and sum up their wages?

Or maybe you sum up the household income and say each person in that household has that much household income. Explains the 15 year olds making 50k I guess.

you go by head of household.

almost all data around median/mean income comes from income tax filings and put out by the government. individual income data is lower so using household lets you gaslight people into thinking the economy is better than it is.

I'm giving way too much credit to the unsourced chart, but it's probably something like median household income and age for head of household or... something. If it's meant to be personal income then it's basically just a collection of random numbers, because it's off by double or more when compared to any other data.

The curve seems okay-ish, though. Households with dual incomes at peak earning years are going to be at least a little higher than the overall median, and most people will top out on earning potential in their 40s or 50s. Older than that and you're probably going to see health issues, deaths, retirements, etc. start to make a meaningful dent in the data.

German companies were still suffering from a “painful inventory correction” as they produce less than they sell and order less than they need from suppliers, Schmieding said. But he forecast this would ease “by Easter” and said “consumer spending should rebound from spring onwards”.

---

Trump told reporters during the daily press briefing it was his idea -- and not that of his medical experts -- to suggest Easter, which falls on April 12, as a potential date by which the US would again be "raring to go."

"We'll only do it if it's good. We'll do large sections of the country," Trump said, adding he would listen closely to recommendations from Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx, two top medical experts on the White House coronavirus taskforce.

Asked who suggested the Easter date, Trump said it was him.

"I thought it was a beautiful time. A beautiful timeline," he said.

Mmmmm. France also revised down their growth forecasts today and pledged 10 billion in more austerity cuts to their operating budget. On top of the existing 16 billion.

Macron promises no tax increases. "We have cut taxes and won't deviate from this line. French people can't bear any more tax". Hmmm.

Who regulates online gambling anyway?

At a casino, government inspectors come in to inspect the tables, monitor the dealers, whatever. The Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency monitors every aspect of horse racing, including the horses themselves and how betting is carried out.

But these online slots and roulette, is there anyone watching the code (live, not just when it's approved) to make sure the competition is fair? Is there even a legal requirement that they have to work the same way as the table games they're emulating? Like, how do they know a virtual roulette wheel is as fair and works the same way as a physical table, which is inspected every however many weeks or months?
