I thought people moved on to other currencies to purchase drugs (or child pornography or worse) on the internet. Like people realized Bitcoin was actually poorly designed for purchase of black/grey-market goods and so people designed cryptocurrencies that did that better.

bitcoin is perfect. it enables true free market which will weed out the weak competition. it will be a fierce battle among the merchants for consumers and only the strongest will survive. finally the consumers get rid of all consumer protection which is something they have been yearning all this time
