Then she started walking back her policies, like "we'll do m4a in my third year, pinky swear" and I realized how stupid that line of thought is. Bernie or Bust. For all her bluster, I have to wonder whether her presidency would have been much different from any of the empty suits.

It's just so loving wild to me that both parties get a ton of mileage arguing that the US is an insanely weak and impoverished country compared to the rest of the first world Like you'd think peoples' vanity at least would push them to argue for offering universal healthcare

I've still got a slight preference for Warren, mainly because I think she'd have a slightly better chance of getting her plans though Congress, and more importantly, she's promised to kill the filibuster (As opposed to Sanders' One Weird Trick to bypass it, unless anything has changed and I haven't heard about it). With that said though, I don't think it matters. Sanders has the inside track to the nomination, and while she's positioned herself to be the compromise candidate, I think it'll be very hard for her to stay in the race long enough for it to matter.

You and I are in a similar situation. I felt like Warren was more realistic in goals she hoped to achieve and I thought that maybe she'd face a slightly less uphill battle than Sanders would. Especially with how much Fox and Friends and the Conservative media have latched onto Sanders and AOC over the past year. However, my wife and I got our California Primary ballots the other day and we sat down and talked about what we were thinking and both of us felt like we should go both feet in with Bernie. As far as politicians go, this guy has been saying he wants to do the same things since long before either of us were born. I believe he is sincere and if he can accomplish 1/10th of what he wants do, we are going to be in a better place than we would be with a compromise candidate. Maybe once Warren reads the writing on the wall she can hop on Sanders ticket.
