Stoatbringer posted:Trump - tough, strong, muscly, compassionate. Nothing has encapsulated the conspiracy theorist -> fascist pipeline as much as Garrison has. Dude used to make comics about how cops are bad and how you shouldn't listen to state propaganda, and now he's making cartoons where the president says "Your homework is to love your country" and it's portrayed as a good thing. It makes sense, fascists are consumed by ideas of plots and secret societies and people pulling strings behind the scenes, and the globalist overlords are basically just the jews from the Protocols of the Elders of Zion; especially now that Q has added the adrenochrome stuff which is just blood libel with a different name. The right wing conspiracy theorist's theoretical aversion and anger at authoritarianism comes from a belief the power wielded is invalid, not that wielding that power is wrong. So when someone comes and talks about shadowy figures behind everything, of course they'll come along, wherever it leads. They always did, the SS were surprised at the lack of piles of gold in the houses of the poor jewish villagers they exterminated. They are ruled by fear, and when someone tells them their fears are valid and they're going to make them go away, that's all they need. They'll cheer for anything as long as you tell them it's stopping the people they think are behind it all. Grondoth fucked around with this message at 20:44 on Sep 19, 2020 |

I don't know why anyone thinks anything a republican says or does will have any effect on republicans voting for republicans. People that vote for Lindsay Graham or Mitch McConnell don't care about the things these politicians say. They aren't being held to any sort of standard. They aren't going to suddenly go "Oh that's the last straw I'm voting D". Republican voters don't care. They don't care that the people they elect lie. They don't care if they cheat or steal or are bigots or con-men or swindlers. They want to vote for someone that will tell them: Brown people bad. Gays are gross. Church is good. Guns are great. Taxes go down. And they don't want to feel bad about themselves while supporting these things. So if someone with an R behind their name winks and nudges and spouts the proper bullshit then they'll vote for them over and over no matter what they say or do because it confirms that others think just like they do and they must therefore be right.

yes the only way this backfires is if it causes democrats to come out and vote. but its already too late by then. it is dumb to think a republican doing republican things will hurt his chances.

Yep. Seriously, stop trying to game this poo poo out as if any of these people are afraid of looking like a hypocrite, or that it'll come back to bite them later if the Democrats are in power. Their only plan is to keep their foot on the gas. If they don't, they end up getting primaried from the right and someone even more awful takes their place.

In an anti-Semitic 4chan /pol/ thread an anonymous poster linked a restricted, unsearchable video named “Jew Ritual BLOOD LIBEL Sacrifice is #ADRENOCHROME Harvesting.” Within these same online communities, Pizzagate formalized and grew in 2015–2016 before spreading to more mainstream social media. TL;DR, conspiracy that the elites are harvesting child's adrenochrome to stay young.and jews. the jews are responsible.

Well gee I was going to vote for Lindsey Graham but after he seized the opportunity to grant us a 6-3 conservative SCOTUS (which I am absolutely rock loving hard for. Oh yeah baby I LOVE a conservative SCOTUS) I think I will vote for the liberal deep state socialist democrat challenger because Mr Graham pinky swore he wouldn't do this thing (which I cannot stress enough that I deeply love).

just a reminder that the GOP have been banned from having poll watchers in federal elections for the last 40 years due to -surprise!- using their poll watchers to intimidate minority voters back in the eighties this year's election is the first year they are able to have poll watchers again lmao

Key point here is "prior to the election". I assume what another goon said earlier is whats going to actually happen. Mcconnell allows 4 to vote against before the election which allows those whos seats are in jeopardy to vote for it and pander to their base and throw up their arms and say "we tried but those drat libs"! Those who vote no either are screwed either way, have no chance of losing their seat, or in Collins situation might actually help her get reelected. Then once the election is over and the results are obvious its time to ram through the real nominee and this time everyone's on board except maybe Romney just out of spite.
