Some people do it themselves, big companies employ makeup artists who do it for others. It's part of the cost of doing the gimmick afaik You can definitely notice more intricate designs sometimes when the wrestler isn't doing physical stuff (Darby Allin as a decent example) It's a loving mess in the ring sometimes with the face paint though |

I suppose they are using pretty good paint and a coating. gently caress it tho, if it's part of the personality then it's probably factored in, I'd just hate to be the one trying to maintain it. |

It reminds me of one of those little pet peeves I'd have back when I still watched WWE - whenever a wrestler would announce an open challenge, like 'first guy to the ring gets a shot at my title', everyone would come rushng out in full ring gear. I want to see some schmuck come hopping out while still trying to lace up his boots, only to be overtaken by Goldust with his facepaint half done. |
