Curious if any Prompt Wizards here can get Midjourney to create a gun in a holster. I need them for custom police uniforms and it can't even make a basic holstered glock on a belt. It can't even seem to make just a gun inside a holster sitting on a table. not sure if my words are bad or if MJ just doesn't get holsters.

lol, i couldn't get it to work at first and it made some neat guns/holster combinations. what I did to get a better result was I did a google image search for the gun in a holster and used it as an image reference and then I could make different guns in holsters (some not so good)

Of course you can always take whatever you get back to MJ as a reference image, too.

snorch posted:Seriously though, I give it 50/50 odds Luma is just a souped up AnimateDiff behind a web frontend. At a glance I'm guessing it'd have more to do with the Luma team's expertise in 3D AI work, but I also guess they'll use whatever they can find that is useful. A souped up AD on its own wouldn't accomplish what Luma is doing but there's different open source AI vidgen stuff that escaped the SD fanboy limelight by failing to have webUI/ComfyUI adaptations e.g. https://github.com/Vchitect/. Stuff I'd love to play around with if I had the time but I'm not a professional computer toucher and have to muddle my way through it all. When I tried to get SEINE working after working on it for a couple of days I managed to create a video - exactly once! Then I couldn't get it to work again and haven't had that sort of spare time in months.

I played Brutus in a production of Caesar back just before Trump was elected. This was the poster for it. https://i.imgur.com/52iP6XV.mp4 MAGA Caesar was David in disguise all along! My favorite thing is how Luma AI lists this poo poo as YOUR CREATIONS yeah I created this baby ![]()

You added frames between two videos neat Also an actual use case transitions in editing making up parts of a shot that weren't taken. pixaal fucked around with this message at 17:37 on Jun 28, 2024 |

Oh hey, another profession is getting annihilated, starting at $11.99 a month. AI generated voice overs in many styles and tonalities, ready in seconds. Adjustable parameters, like flat <-> expressive, changes to similarity to the original voice or boosting the particular narration style. English only... for now. When "good enough" is, well, "good enough". You can save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on voice talent now. Cool for small content creators who don't have a big budget, big money saver for corporations who can pocket part of the big budget for themselves, kind of a bummer for voice actors. Yes, there have been other AI voice generators, but this accessible, ready to go out of the box and at this price? Edit: ![]() mcbexx fucked around with this message at 23:41 on Jun 28, 2024 |

The thing that will bother me the most about AI voices is that... if I start wondering if it's an AI voice, then I become to loving focused on it, it stresses me out. I find I can't concentrate on anything being said because all my brain is doing is wondering whether or not this is human, and if these little micro-mistakes in speech patterns are the result of AI or human error and agh agh agh agh edit: haha nevermind, it kinda sucks on its own without any adjustments https://voca.ro/18Pf4zt5jvxT Well that's my free credit limit. Well spent. credburn fucked around with this message at 00:22 on Jun 29, 2024 |

Other than that, quality seems pretty OK overall for these voices based on their samples, but I'd imagine those are fairly polished for presentation given the little videos they made to go with them. More varied / humanlike in tone than elevenlabs has been generating, in my experience. I'd be curious to see how these hold up / if they're as humanlike in longer recordings, like for a podcast, seeing as how other tools (Udio, Suno, elevenlabs) seem to have distortions in voices as clips get lengthier. ![]() credburn posted:edit: haha nevermind, it kinda sucks on its own without any adjustments Artlist.io: https://voca.ro/1fp5TRDikq5J Elevenlabs for comparison: https://voca.ro/1lchG5atPt4w Soulhunter fucked around with this message at 01:00 on Jun 29, 2024 |

I listen to a lot of podcasts and there's a bunch that have sounded like AI voices for years. And all the ads definitely sounds like fake voice. In fact there was an ad for voice generating software for ad work on a podcast ad.

Hollywood has already openly stated that they see the future in AI. I think the consumer reaction to it will be 20% revolt, and 80% indifference. There will always be a niche for artsy "human" movies, but if all I care about is being low-key entertained then what difference does it make if it's made of the ground-up remains of the artists and craftspeople the machine replaced? Janky AI art will become the aesthetic of our era. My worry is the all the good stuff will be locked away from the common folk behind IP/paywalls/computational expense. My dream though is that open models can democratize filmmaking in a similar way to how DSLRs and eventually iPhones put pro-grade cameras in the hands of the average schmo, further breaking down the monopoly on the means of production.

Everything in Ai is geared to just make Ads or commercials. The only thing Hollywood has over any other video creators is a budget and boys club system for marketing.

So much of Marvel movies are just real life actors in front of green screens. I found the actors to be superfluous and in retrospect I probably would have been more invested and taken the whole thing more seriously if they were CG. Anyway, my point is, actors in Hollywood are a fuckin parasite gnawing into the butt of progress. Humans are for the stage. Computers on the screen. The time of mocap acrobats and voice actors is about to be loving overshadowed by the monster that is AI, which is real sad.
