Great visuals and music, very fun class system, fairly well balanced difficulty wise, tons of side stuff to do like monster catching/raising and item world poo poo (think Disgaea). Just a nice package overall, my only concern would be how well the controls translate.

Anyone seen anything more specific on Slay the Spire's port beyond "early 2019"? I never liked the originals but I played them after loving 4 so much. I remember really battling through RE1 as a kid because it was gross, but also because sometimes it simply wasn't very fun. I never played 6 and played 5 over a year just doing maybe an hour of shooting and brainless AI management before quitting for a week.

5 and 6 don't manage to recapture the magic, but they're both good games in their own right. 5 less so as a single player experience. Thankfully they took out the babysitting you had to do for your AI partner in 6.

I've played every mainline Resident Evil game and remake released to date, except for 6, and they're all good except for Resident Evil 0 and the one I haven't played. Well, there's my opinion. Also I have R2Make preordered.

Just give your partner a handgun so they only need that ammo and keep upgrading it. By the end they are a headshot machine and will be able to cover your back from anywhere.

Yeah, I very rarely had a problem keeping my AI partner in 5 alive, I don't know what people are talking about. The only issue I had was if there were insta-kill enemies like the chainsaw guy, then yeah your partner can get loving one-shotted through no fault of your own. The singleplayer co-op in Resident Evil 0 can suck a flying gently caress though.
