While we're sort of on the subject, wanted to say thanks for everything the SA-GCCX team has done in contributing to the spread of Game Center CX. If any sort of compensation is decided upon for the upstanding human beings who have made it easier for me to understand why Arino fell into that pit, yet again, count me in. Be it money, time (see: In Time circa 2011), chocolate, or wetwork.

In some sad news, largely un-seen Director Nakauchi (who has been with the show from the start) and, Director "Inoko Max" Inoue have left the show. Inoue has quit GasCoin altogether apparently. Inoue will become a freelance director. The DVD and blu-ray of the Messe event will be released on August 2nd, with the documentary, GCCX Channel "Looking Back" meetings among the bonus content. It's weird after reading that interview where Arino - of all people - was supportive of him and complemented him, even saying he could be the next "voice of the show" after Kan. Or was all that simply Arino being facetious and/or saying interview bullshit that he didn't even mean?

He gained a lot of experience working on the show, going from a random employee to a full-on director, but he's also been doing the same gig for most of his working life. I don't think it's unusual in the slightest that he'd want to stretch his newfound wings and look for other projects to work on. In any event, I doubt there's bad blood involved; GCCX quite literally saved him from destitution purely out of kindness, and you don't forget favors like that easily.

Yeah, they're back playing indies as of a few weeks ago: Ultimate Chicken Horse, Stikbold Niddhogg 2, Donut County, Minit, Yoku's Island Express Pikuniku, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes and they have a special Undertale episode coming tomorrow.

Living adjacent to Russia it was common to see some neighborhood kids play Dendy instead of Nintendo.
