they did have horford at almost $30mil last year. still can't believe how easily they got out of that

I think you'll find the League is unfixably broken because of the tanking / load management / politics / refereeing / lack of competitive balance / too much competitive balance / rip-throughs / three-point attempt rate / foul hunting / flopping / small markets / big markets / superteams / the concept of the draft

Fair enough, Vassell looks like a good pick, just like Keldon. Let me ask you this, we all know the Spurs like to compete. Popovich is still there, Vassell is just a rookie,Pop likes vets. What if the Spurs were the ones wanting Gordon? Some combo of Gordon,Bamba,Ross and Evan could really fill out that roster.

Edit. I'm gonna assume if the Spurs made a trade they want to compete so DeRozan,Murray and Keldon are untouchable and the Magic have no use for White.

MourningView posted:

I'm not the guy to ask because I think Gordon kinda stinks. Vassell is shooting 40% from 3 and already one of the better defensive wings in the league as a rookie I wouldn't trade him for a vet unless it's an actual difference maker and I don't think any of the magic guys qualify. The Spurs also aren't giving him as many minutes as I probably would though so it's possible they disagree.

i’m fairly certain between gay, patty mills, and derozan there are a bunch of vet minutes that are gonna slide vassell’s way in a season or two as much as i’d rather have him getting those minutes now

Seriously league pass is absurdly bad. All the streams are 30 fps even though the actual broadcasts are 60, and the vods constantly pause for buffering and are unwatchable because of that.

can someone list some of the big plot points from the season so far? I unfollowed everything NBA related and haven't watched a game since January after reading some takes from professional NBA journalists that were so bad that I had to do some serious reflecting. Can't miss one of the top two Asset days of the year for anything though.

The Heat are too smart for this but the Knicks are not. They have 3 first round picks could easily part with one and some other small asset.

meh, sometimes when you have your shot you take it. Granted you don't want to do a Carmelo style overpay but if you have a chance to get a leg up on a free agency you covet then do it (why Oladipo be that guy though)

Knicks are going to get a scorer. I think they are a lock to get something done in the next 3 days. I think the question is more about what Dipo wants to get paid more then what Houston wants back.

This is basically just giving up a first, right? GHarris has been injured for a while and the team is playing just as well (probably better) without him, Bol only sees the most garbage of garbage time minutes other than those two times they bizarrely started him.

I'd be okay with it. I watched a video scouting of Gordon and it says his defense is good, which is where the Nuggets need to improve. Only concern is his impact on floor spacing, but, again, GHarris has the same issue when he's not hitting shots.
