I would agree, but I feel the bit was justified by the revelation that the dude has made exactly one knife.

It's a weird feeling whenever Griffin or Travis talk about Henry and Bebe and remembering that they're two now and like talking. Because they've wisely kept them out of the public eye since they were born, I keep thinking of them as babies.

Tbf the Charlie and Daddy show is fuckin' hilarious. It's like Justin talking to a smaller, more high and drunk version of Justin.

Here is an hour of Griffin talking at FSU for a about an hour about family history and how he was working himself to death, and then a Q&A afterwords.

i finally got around to watching this. it is excellent, and the Q&A session is extremely good.

Knife Guy is kinda on the brothers for rolling the dice on an explicitly non-advice question. But I get it, it's enticing, maybe you get some cool stories, maybe he's Kiwami Japan.

It does fall into the category of "not really an advice question" though, even if it is one of the less painful of them.

They worked around it well enough, and frankly i don't blame them for giving "hey want a knife" guy a chance.

History of knife guys aside, I'd laugh pretty hard if I got an email like that.

Bad question askers are like hecklers, good comedians can turn it into gold, but you don't want them there in the first place.

Maybe he was just asking in general and didn’t expect to get picked? He didn’t sound like he wanted to be at the mic either. The brothers are great about explicitly going “Sorry we thought this would be more interesting” to the audience and making do, though.

If it was a professional knife maker, or an experienced hobbyist it could have been pretty cool getting a bit of info on knife-craft. The fact that the dude was essentially a novice really took the wind out of the sails of the discussion.

Yeah, the State Theatre holds over 3,000 people and I'd say it was almost 2/3 full? I've really only seen it packed to the gills for Hamilton. It was too bad it didn't sell out for the boys but I enjoyed having the extra leg room.

it would be really boring from a liveshow perspective to do that. it's way better to just treat the liveshows as a freeform RP rather than actual D&D.

Cincy show was very fun. The opening Saw Bones was real good and Schmanners was fun. I've never listened to the latter so didn't know what to expect. The show itself had a few bits that were loving buck wild, specifically one involving Justin. The final yahoo also had Justin almost fall out of his chair because...gently caress it's good.

I really wanna know what went down at the Cleveland show due to something Travis announced in Cincy though haha.

Besides, it's much more entertaining for him to make Clint stick to his spell choice when it might murder them all

Can't say more about it until it's announced in about a week and a half, but I'm the writer for a mobile game with a major IP tie-in to a major film studio. One of my tasks was to give names to missions you have to complete, so I'm putting in all sort of pop culture references. So if my submissions are approved, there will be a mission where you have to fight several shrimp monsters called "Omnidirectional Scampi Blast".

If you want to see Travis as Magnus and Clint as Merle in D&D, but with a different squad (including one of those dipshits from Penny Arcade, but also Matthew Lillard, Joe Manganiello, and Malik who does Overwatch League stuff) with Kate Welch as DM, you can do so here. I've watched about half, pretty fun, Kate takes no poo poo.

Oh poo poo, I didn't realize Jerry was a penny arcade guy; that explains why I liked him less than the rest I guess

That stream was pure chaos, but in the best of ways, and Clint was in top form.
