In the first game the extremely bleak tone worked for me because it was a game about survival in absolutely desperate circumstances. The first game then ends on a fairly hopeful note that I naively thought the second game would follow up on. It does not, and things just get worse and more miserable throughout the entire game.

It is probably the single bleakest game I've ever played, not just for the story's content, but for the choice the devs made post-credits which ultimately feels like a huge gently caress you to the players.

I kinda want to play a game like Delta Heart Hospital from the last episode of Star Trek Prodigy, a veterinary simulator with cute little alien land-octopus creatures. However, it seems like all the modern pet-care games are badly reviewed as mediocre cash grabs. Can anyone recommend any good ones? The target audience for this game are people who still haven’t gotten sick of Roiland yelling dumb poo poo real loud which I mean it really depends on the writing and I fundamentally do not trust this game to have good writing
