You guys know the series goes A, B, C, D, right? The unloved Daihatsu Copen counts too. I recall watching an episode of Hot Version where DRIFT KING takes the 2015 Copen round the touge course and rates it 98/100...

I'd go a Suzuki Cappuccino, and a Honda S600 fastback. edit: speaking of little Japanese awesome-mobiles, it's crazy the difference in price for a Honda CRX in Australia. I can see a very-hosed-with one with 230,000km on the clock for $4,000, and an extremely-unfucked-with one with 139,000km on the clock for $12,000. And every few months, I do a search for Familias for sale, hoping to find mine that was stolen around 8 years ago, with no luck. I really want that car back, but I would settle for being able to buy one, if there was a single one available in the country ![]() Memento fucked around with this message at 01:38 on Jun 27, 2018 |

My wife is super into the Jimnys, so there is a real chance that our driveway will (at least for a while) consist of a 91 Land Cruiser Prado turbo diesel, a 93 AZ-1 and an 89 Jimny. What I really want is a 1988 Mazda 323 SS Turbo, like the one that was stolen out of my driveway when I was moving house at the end of 2009.![]() That, only red. Mazda imported a hundred and four of them into the country for homologation purposes so that they could have a factory team in the Australian rally championship's B-spec (front-drive-only) competition. The team never panned out and they had a hard time selling them because in 1989 they were twenty six thousand dollars, which was the same price as a V8 Holden Commodore SS at the time. Petrol was insanely cheap so people looked at it and went "why would I buy that tiny thing instead of the massive car for the same price". Front wheel drive, factory forged pistons running 7.2:1 compression ratio, mine had a TD03 turbo in it running 16psi and a microtech setup with larger injectors and pump to keep up with it. I ran 13.88 @ 102mph at a drag meet at Heathcote one weekend, and won the front wheel drive trophy because the only competitors were me and a guy with a 1989 MX-6 that had 19" rims with incredibly low-profile tires on it. He couldn't get traction at all. He came up to me afterwards to chat and was pretty pissed off that not only had I driven there in the car that beat him, I had only gone there to watch the Maztech RX-7 try to crack a seven second quarter mile, and entered the actual competition on a dare. I got back from shifting a load of stuff to the new place to see a big gap where my car should have been. My neighbour said he saw a tow truck come up and grab my car, but didn't get the number plate and didn't think much of it because I wasn't driving it much at the time and he just assumed I was having it transported. I miss that loving car ![]()

Probably. I'm a mazda guy but by the time I took notice of the turbo 323s the nissan gtir was out and I cared more about them. Funny that I knew a couple of people with FWD turbos and a guy up the road had a GTX, but the mazda 323 used was so very dated looking by then and ford was doing horribly ugly things with theirs I was kind of over them.

I've warned my wife if I ever spot an unmolested CRX for sale I'm gonna zero out our savings account to buy it instantly. Fortunately for her it hasn't happened. Closest I've gotten is one that looked okay from a distance, but once you got close there was no metal under the paint anymore.

They almost certainly have ADD, losing control of the camera while following a noise over the hill is a dumbass thing to do. I guess that doesn't explain why they pointed the camera at the sky, you're probably right they were trying to track the helicopter. I was just looking for the charitable explanation. ![]()

Olympic Mathlete posted:*edit: onboard. It legit looks like it's sped up it's that fast... Scheisse. The crazy thing is that there are a few times where he has to lift that nearly nobody else does - not that the 919 is lacking for grip but because nobody else is going remotely near that fast before they even get to these corners. That, and it all seems so completely in control, to the point where it seems like that car could well have a 4:59 in it somewhere.
