At the rate this is dropping, we might even see 150 sometime next month.

Nobody wants tesla, it's in a debt fueled death spiral.

VW is probably gonna swoop in for the assets in the middle of the bankruptcy proceedings leaving the bag holders with an empty bag.

lol oh yeah one of the good things from the MS call today was the guy harping on the irrelevance of the S and X models (old design, zero refreshes) and if the Model 3 isnt saving the company nothing will

:suicide: then he went on for a few minutes about their valuable technology and how far ahead they are of the competition due to training their neural net :suicide:

I listened to the whole call as well and his point was moreso "they have more data in this space than anyone else, and that's worth something, even if their hardware isn't, but what that's actually worth is a huge question mark -- but based on information from peers we think it's a decent amount"

he also mentioned that even if you factor in $45 a share as value from self driving data, that barely offsets the debt on the company, and everything else might hold no value

Seven Hundred Bee

the other more interesting point that got brought up that I haven't having mentioned elsewhere is that having a car that records everything around it 24/7 and then stores that information is a huge privacy clusterfuck/opportunity for spying especially when that car might be constructed in China

That is true.

If you ever get called in to have a meeting about something at work you did wrong, they will always bring up tonnes of other poo poo, sometimes from months ago, to throw at you.

Why didn't they bring that stuff up at the time? Because it wasn't important enough. But they love to use it to try and overwhelm you.

You know what they say, what happens in vegas poses a serious structural risk to a large number of buildings.

for real though, i hope he collapses the entire city, because the answer to "the earth is getting warmer trying to kill us" isn't air conditioned golf courses in the desert.

pretty much nothing has ever gone wrong with it apart from just normal wear items

There's an issue with the rear axis sub frame anchor points being a bit on the flimsy side but there's weld in kits to fix that (kits are cheap, just work intensive to do) apart from that it's one of their best indeed.

E: as a general advice on chassis conservation, get the cavities oiled/greased/waxed every couple years and apply an undercarriage wax every year before the winter starts (and maybe refresh in the middle if they salt your roads)

Fluid film is great for cavities and quite affordable, but you'll need something harder and more resilient for the undercarriage or you gonna be fluid filming the undercarriage every odd month.

Avoid any kind of rubberized undercoating like the plague. Calling them a scam would be too nice because they are not only a waste of money they'll actively rust out your car. I think the typical US product would be Z-bar or something like that? South Maine auto had a good episode on it.

in the past when musk did this poo poo it would at least be an idea that was theoretically possible but logistically infeasible, like his dumb self driving cars. yeah at some point in the future we might have computers and software that are powerful to handle driving a vehicle on their own, but that's still at least 10-20 years off at best.

this isn't just infeasible, it's loving impossible and a straight up lie. what are you going to do with a communications satellite to turn it into an orbital "debris collector"? the only thing i can think of is trying to pilot it in front of a debris cloud in the hopes that a collision would deorbit some of the debris, but that would just create even more loving debris.

like the rest of the market, it's just mostly computers trading with each other, it just happens outside the confines of The Close. mostly what you have is institutional investors making markets and liquidating positions outside of the normal trading hours where they'll get matched up with another institutional investor. like a chinese investment bank is still going to have TSLA shares to manage and they're not staying up to the middle of the night to shave off a couple hundred thousand shares
