Getting more exercise from the spins lol. I like how dog brain says that it requires exactly three turns to work.

That tiger tabby wants to be adopted yesterday. Source: my cat that appeared outside my door one day and made the same noises until I let her in.

I once had a cat do the same thing to me. After a while I walked away and it started following me home. All the way until I made a right turn, where it just stopped up and looked at me. So I went back, and it started walking the other way, and now I was the one following it. A few hundred meters down the road it went to a house and disappeared in through a cat flap.

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes they don't want us on their island. It's a mystery.

I think Maine Coons are probably bigger than Norwegian Forest Cats? All the NFCs I've met have been standard cat size, just extremely absurdly fluffy. (Owned one, had a couple in the neighbourhood growing up.) My cat wasn't much bigger than the other cats my friends had at the time. And looking up some generic cat breeds site, Maine Coons can get up to 2x the size of a NFCs, as I kinda expected. With the smallest Maine Coons being on par with the largest Norwegians. ( NFC: 30-46 cm / 12-18 long, Maine Coons: 48-80 cm / 19-32 inches. Supposedly.) I heartily suggest Norwegian forest cats though, they're extremely chill around kids and idiots, and their fur is long and super goddamn fluffy.

I used to have two Norwegian Forest Cats and I can only echo this, extremely chill breed(of course they can get the zoomies like any cat, but even so). Also never had my cats take a dislike to anyone except hyperactive children, which were a bit too much for them.

SubNat posted:I think Maine Coons are probably bigger than Norwegian Forest Cats? Interesting note, Maine Coons are believed to be descended from the same cats that became the NFCs - best guess is that the Vikings brought their big, fluffy cats with them to North America, where they grew into the Maine Coons while the ones who remained behind in Scandinavia became the NFCs. And yeah, Maine Coons are well known for being ridiculously fluffy, chill, and cuddly.

Thanks, I guess I should have been more specific. I want one of those black murder kitties in the post above mine. If I were to drop dead in my condo, I would be happy to have it eat my corpse before my remains were discovered.

Stairs must be traveled by leaning your right side against the wall, up or down. The oven turned on might possibly mean smoke detector activation, so cowering in the TV room is required. Any fart sound might come from her own butt, so a quick sniff check and running out of the room in "just in case" shame are needed.

Prayers were mostly for keeping time. Hourglasses weren't standardized, and a sundial wasn't good for precision measurements, but everybody knew how long it took to recite the Lord's prayer. Instead of saying "boil for three minutes and twenty seconds" and hoping that whoever was reading it could time that out for themselves, you wrote "say two hail marys and three paternosters"
