It's important to note that the TAs are striking, and while it was just chance that we picked the same time, most people thought we were somehow involved in that. The general confusion was wonderful.

It's easier than you think. A lot of CS/engineering nerds could do it. I figured out the binary for 'gently caress' (would've added in you, but that just takes too long to say) in my head to respond to those demanding answers.

It wasn't a lunch so much as it was us trying to drink beer with straws through our mouth holes.

The terrace was amazing, though. There were easily two hundred people there, and they all just fell silent and turned to watch us when we started playing the music and marched through them.

I thought it would have been hilarious to have a robot try and break the TA's picket line, but that probably would have been too much.

I'm so happy that this turned out so well. We spent a lot of time building those costumes.

My favorite part was having girls come up to me and asking "What are you protesting?" at which point I would hand her the binary leaflet, and they would look at it and say "I can't read this! I don't know what this means!" Then I would say "Beeeep" and walk away.

Someone actually asked if we were with the Young Republicans :lol:

That's pretty impressive. The one time I dressed up like a robot, I couldn't resist the urge to yell "Shut your voice box, human flesh bag". Granted, I said it all robot-like, but it's just not the same as beeping at people.
