Directed by: Stanley Kubrick Starring: Sterling Hayden, Coleen Gray, Vince Edwards, Marie Windsor Great, great film by Kubrick. This film-noir tells the story of Johnny Clay (Sterling Hayden), who after getting out of prison plans a heist on a horse race-track. Several complications occur with his scheme. The film structure was quite innovative for its time, which would inspire later films such as Reservoir Dogs. 5/5 like most of Kubrick's work.

Yeah, this one has resonated right through to modern cinema. A great little film with an innovative, oft-copied structure (sup Mr Tarantino). Sterling Haydn is the ultimate tough talking criminal. Superb bleak ending. 5/5
