I used to watch the original trilogy over and over as a kid. I watched this movie again two days ago expecting it to be a little outdated and lameified and couldn't believe how awesome it was. I don't know why but the movie sucks you right into its universe, much in the same way that the Harry Potter books do. Those two series share many similiarities such as a simple plot, strong characters and fantastic universes that draw you deep in.

There is definitely some faults in the acting but in my opinion it adds a positive element to the movie as opposed to a negative one. When the first Star Wars came out there wasn't the massive expectation that there is now for every prequel. The little faults in this movie preserve its charm.

I give it a 5.5/ 5, one of the most important and entertaining cultural pieces of pop art in recent times.
