Directed by: John Waters Starring: Liz Renay, Mink Stole, Susan Lowe, Edith Massey, Mary Vivian Pearce this divine-less effort from waters is like swimming through a garbage dump in the same way uncle scrooge will swim through his vault of valuable currency. this is his last and most elaborate production of the 70s and there is plenty of trashy spectacle, with sets and exteriors created from materials hauled out of a landfill and wonderfully awful costumes to match. the writing could be tighter. it drags in places. there is still a lot to recommend here, including one of the best openings i've ever seen in a comedic film. great the first time you see it, not bad after that and you can make your friends watch it. a must if you like your comedy loud and abrasive.
