i loved rushmore (possibly my favorite movie of all time) but if it weren't for anderson's eye for beautifully framed shots, bill murray's occasionally smile cracking wit, and knockout ned playing acoustic bowie covers this movie would've been a complete bomb in my opinion. the story really didn't do it for me, it seemed aimless and random. halfway through the movie i forgot what it was about. it was nice to look at... 2/5 warm hearted and stylish but the story just couldn't hold it all together
