I believed that everything had a balancing point where, eliminating air drafts, any object could be balanced on a point along its edge/tip. I tried for years to balance things like boxes, dreidels and even sheets of paper. Eventually, I gave up after too many failures, but that lesson was long in coming. I'm still not entirely convinced I was wrong.
