I'm still with limited internet as I have not heard anything about my computer yet. Maybe another week. On the plus side, I found a proxy that my Websense hasn't blocked yet, so I've actually been able to post from work last night and Friday night.

Okay, Falcon NW just called me, they are replacing my motherboard. My system should be shipped back to me early next week, so it looks like I'll get it just in time to not be able to really use it since I'll be working. But it'll be worth it. No more crashing, no more BSODs. Bliss.

Tuesday, my computer is due to arrive on Tuesday and that is when my posting will return to normal. The worst part is that I'm supposed to go out with friends from work Tuesday night. But I've been without a computer for a month whereas I'm drunk all the time and I won't even be able to get drunk because I'm driving that night. GAH!

Just so people know, I typically work six 12 hour night shifts in a row. That means that for those six days, even if I'm in IRC, I'm not really here. I post when I can at work, but that requires finding a working proxy. Tonight will be night 3 of 6. SO I'll only be posting between about 9pm-5am central and about 9am-10am central.

Upon rebooting my computer this morning after a windows update, I'm getting a BSOD saying my BIOS is not ACPI compliant. Googling the problem doesn't make it seem too bad so hopefully SH/SC can give me a tard proof guide to fixing it when I get home in the morning.

Computer is still broken and this is my last night at work. Never thought I'd be posting more often at work than at home, but there it is. If I don't get a solution that works soon, I'll just wave goodbye to all my audiobooks, unread comics from last week and the bits of my music collection that I managed to redownload after deleting it all on accident and just do a system restore in the hopes that it fixes it.

Okay, somehow in trying to hook my 360 to the internet, I switched off the power strip that runs to my computer and now my computer won't turn back on no matter where I plug it in to. Hopefully there's some incredibly easy fix the Falcon guys will tell me, but I'm not holding my breath. My 360 still won't connect to the internet either, even though I have all the settings right. Posting will be sporadic until everything is fixed.
