nice f4...is your buddy missing his neck or something?

Edit: I just noticed his helmet has a dual visor setup. That is pretty cool, whats the scoop?

Haha now that I think about it, I guess he is missing a neck. Hes pretty short, and overweight, so that plus a wierd helmet while wearing a jacket does give the impression of no-neck syndrome.

edit// I don't think its a dual visor, its made by Nolan. Its one of those ones that can flip the front third of the helmet up to make it like a half-helmet. I think he has this small couple inch wide "duckbill" type visor that is attached to the area right above his faceshield. Although maybe it is, I never really got a look at it. I'll ask him about it.

Nice bag load. My bike was loaded down for the trip from Minneapolis to Chicago, but not that much on the tail. I was able to split it between the tail and the tank. You can see my tank bag in the shot I'm coming at the camera - thanks to HNasty for that shot, by the way. Also, I prefer the DragonSlayer shots to the Killboy ones. Particularly, this one:

About what size is your tankbag? I was thinking about picking up a small one, just big enough for maybe a map, wallet, cellphone, and mp3 player.

I have the Rapid Transit Recon 19. It holds a lot, has a lot of pockets for many things, has fantastic magnets to hold it to the tank, and was my camera bag when I had my bulletcam recording our runs through Deal's Gap (this video will be posted soon). I also had my backpack on which had a pair of shoes and other miscellaneous items.

Fully loaded on Saturday, on the way back from Chicago in the pouring rain, which didn't stop me:

Look close there - just get your chest down and a bit more inside the bike and you'd be knee down. Am I the only person here who sees the Czysz stuff as the motorcycle equivalent of vaporware?

Yes you are, and how very brilliant of you. They should just homologate the thing, we have enough rich people that will put money down on a bike and wait for years to take delivery. Why not use Amerikkas wealth for something good. Homologate and go racing :)

Track days help your street riding a bit. Track riding lets you go out and ride in a relatively safe and controlled environment. The speeds involved with stuff like dragging your knee are not terribly safe on public roads. I think most people that start doing track days probably slow down on the street because of the track experience. You realize just how futile it would be to ride in a similar fashion on the streets (dangerous + tickets).

This they do, and this I've done as well. When just paying for a track day is ensuring you a way to really experience your bike in an agressive manner you start to realize how silly it is to try to do that out on public streets.

Except for US129, of course...

That's not why he has that on his leathers. He earned that nickname because he rides with his elbows up and out, like a MXer. Of course, he can drag his elbow as well, but it was his style that got him that nickname.

I don't want to give advice when I haven't done a trackday myself, but it looks like you're getting twisted when you hang off. It's most visible in the last pic. That's keeping your knee up and makes things feel strange. Dropping your inside shoulder should help keep the bike more stable, and you'll need replacment knee pucks pretty soon :haw:.

Yeah, it's not really feeling strange, but I do need to drop my shoulder a bit more. More crappy proofs... Maybe I'll buy some now..
