That's an awesome video, although the wind noise is annoying as gently caress.

Also I like the handlebar view - countersteering is still a foreign concept to me and watching you ride... actually didn't make it better at all. :( I can barely see the handlebars move, it just looks like the bike flicks from side to side without any steering effort.

With an increase in speed it takes less movement of the handlebars. Also other inputs like like pushing on the pegs and moving your body help.

It seems like those who are being passed are looking behind them a lot. No wonder they are getting passed! I've never been on a track, so tell me, are they being overly cautious?

My girlfriend put together a cool little video for school of my friends and I at Moses Lake this weekend. Assignment was music video less than 60 seconds, I think it came out really well. I am in the red Thor jersey. The guys I was with are both big motox riders, and it was really cool to ride with people better than me, pushed my skill level way up. I just have to work on my control in the air and I will really be ready to launch myself off stuff. Also, paddle tires rock.

The bike crash at 1:00 happened so fast, and so violent.

At 2:50 that was just frightening how he slid along the ground all limp and stuff. I wonder if he made it, he slammed down hard.

I do the same thing, bought the HF the beginning of summer. I dont balance my wheels, but what you do is put the axel through it, and set it on a couple jack stands. The heavy side makes itself immediately know by rotating the wheel until its on the bottom.

So I was browsing a local riders forum and came across this:

His description of the crash:

river boy posted:

braking and turning, with the rear skipping slightly but not bad, I determined that I wasn't going to make the corner, and rode off the road. Since I was still leaned over, the bike went down as soon as the front tire touched dirt, and basically cart-wheeled down a steep (like 70-degree or more) rock bank into the river about 15 feet below. I tumbled behind it, head over heels, and landed upright with one foot in the river

My buddy's SV. I was trying a fisheye effect with photoshop but it didn't quite get the result I was going for.

The area we normally ride is being logged, bringing tons of trucks and gravel onto the road. I slid the front wheel yesterday on a wet/gravel spot. Its frightening, but not freezing up inspires confidence...

I rode up to Mt. Baker, Washington a week ago. Getting there was fun, but I forgot it's still winter and the mountains are cold. Really cold. I pushed my luck and dumped it on some ice. I'm thinking of going without the fairing once I can afford new lights. I got this shot of Baker though, so it was kinda worth it:

Husqvarna released some information on the 2011 450.
The first Hus-MW or what have you. The bike pictured is pre-production, so some details will change, like the color.

The frame is new, the engine is sourced from the BMW G450X. The countershaft is concentric with swingarm pivot, like the G450X. This means that the chain tension is constant throughout the suspension movement. The rear suspension linkage is above the swingarm, like the G450X.

I just hope the valve cover is red in the production model :)

That looks awesome! Doesn't the BMW G450X have ridiculously short maintenance intervals with mandatory dealer service to keep the warranty? I wonder how that would carry over to husky.
