I've experienced this myself as well in two separate orders. Only with audio CD's. Both of the orders had one cd with a broken jewel case. I opted for a replacement and got them without even returning the originals. They said it wasn't worth the trouble.

So it's worth trying to get a replacement. Oh, and it was all free of charge.
