Cached Money posted:Yeah a paint job like that is about 3-4 times thicker than regular ones, they do a lot of thin layers instead of just 3 thick coats of primer, base and clear. I've been looking at a shitload of videos and I really want to start painting cars but I'm so low on cash right now, I don't even have a car myself right now (that'll be rectified when I get paid later this month, but still). If you've already got the painting hardware, hit up some local scrapyards/Pick-N-Pulls/junkyards. Grab some fenders, hoods, trunks, fridge doors, whatever. I hear a lot of the older guys would stock up on Beetle fenders and practice masking and designs and whatnot.
