The new ep. is okay, but the sketches in the church, and with the puppet cat were just painful, and I just fast forwarded through them. The sketch with the training video was great, though. They must've got the same guy who does all the actual training videos to narrate it, becuase the voice was dead on.

Have you ever seen a child clown without shoes? It's disgusting.

That whole bit was my favorite of the show. Everything else felt a bit off to me, but that's mostly because that drat cat is made of the stuff of nightmares.

Yeah, I think that was the worst episode so far. That's not a huge deal or anything because there's only been four, but I think the one area where my sense of humor and T&E's separate is on repetition. Hearing someone say "Salame" or "Here she comes" over and over doesn't make me laugh, and when it's in an eleven-minute show it just seems like they're trying to fill time.

However, Bob Odenkirk's sign language and Weird Al's everything were both awesome.

How many more known guest stars? We haven't seen David Cross yet, but I can't think of anyone else.

I've got to agree with this. The child clown stuff at the begining was great, but the rest of the episode was just flat for me.

There was something about Weird Al's deranged-looking face as he brought the old ladies down the aisle that was just hilarious. Eric hitting on the girl in the training class was great, too. The guy with the puppet was just...unsettling. A decent episode in all. Enough to keep my interest.

I agree, this one was a little slower than the last few episodes. For some reason, I loved the cat puppet skit just because it reminded me of a demented PBS show ran by one of those alien conspiracy nuts.

let's see if I can remember:

They paid him 1000 dollars to say a couple lines on TGTTM

he comes in and he is a total rear end to Tim and Eric
he'll read a line and be like "this is terrible, totally amateur. why would the audience believe this line? you've got to appeal to their HEARTS and their SOULS" and all this INSANE poo poo like that, he's just totally condescending to Tim and Eric over maybe 5 lines he has to read. He then proceeds to tell Tim "you're fired" and tries to rewrite the lines himself. The video is 7 minutes long. They said he was there for the better part of 5 or 6 hours. To record 5 lines.

It's not a joke video either. He is very clearly insane.

Don't forget (all paraphrased but very, very close to the truth: )

- "You would never say 'use your calves,' nobody is that specific. It's 'use your legs.'"
- "Well this guy, see, he's yelling at the kids, screaming, he doesn't sound like a very good coach." "Uh, he's not a good coach. That's the joke." "What? That's not funny. That's not real."
- To the producer: "These guys, they can't write. This loving sucks. The past sense of the words and the future sense of the words are coming in at bad angles, and the sentences are not reaching the emotion."

Also, Gary Busey poured himself a glass of mango juice at one point and missed the glass, pouring juice all over the rug. He then proceeds to return to his script while casually GRINDING THE JUICE INTO THE CARPET WITH HIS FOOT. Eric's only commentary was "Imagine how sticky his floors at home are."

Tim says that off-camera, later, he "fired" him again for putting his feet on his own coffee table. The man is CRA-ZEE.

At Comic Con last summer Tim was trying to recall those moments with Gary Busey, but then realized he was a few seats away from Adam de la Pena, who traveled with him on "I'm With Busey." Adam said he'd give Tim some pointers on how to work with Gary.

I absolutely loved the last episode. I loved Snaggletooth and especially Uncle Muscle's Hour. My stomach actually hurt after all my laughing during this episode.

edit: I'm almost positive David Cross is going to be on the show as he's featured in one of the promotional videos (for about .25 seconds).

Caught the Seattle show last night. The biggest problem was out of their hands in that they oversold the venue and didn't think to turn on any form A/C until the very end of the show, so it was pretty unpleasent in there. Good for T&E though. The Croc is one of the more popular rock venues in town and they definitely could have filled up a bigger and better venue (and maybe will next time).

As far as the show itself... meh, honestly it wasn't very good. DJ Douggpound was decent, but definitely a one trick pony and was almost hilarious but kept falling just short of hitting it. For T&E, most of the show was video clips that were either available on their DVD (and all over YouTube) or clips from future, unaired Awesome Show episodes. They even played a true commercial for their TGTTM DVD. The Busey thing was funny, just because of their commentary along with it, but not shocking for anyone who ever caught the old "I'm With Busey" show Comedy Central ran. They really only performed about 4 live skits, and I'd say that only a couple were funny. Really I think their style of humor lends more towards TV (if it wasn't obvious by their very heavy use of video in the live show). I definitely wouldn't catch them again unless they brought along a larger group (some of their other regulars) and at least showed tour unique video.

Think Tim & Eric were ripping it off / making an homage?

I honestly think that he was insane or Tim and Eric are comical genuises. The creepy puppet tied with the music and his retarded singing and how he made no desire of covering his mouth at all when speaking for the cat was amazing.

I gotta say, the Child Clown outlet commercials are probably some of the best things they've ever done. I saw those at the live show just four days ago but I laughed just as hard when I saw them tonight.

T&E are great at commercial parodies. When they showed the ad for the TGTTM DVDs during their show, I wasn't even like "oh man what a couple of tools, advertising during a show I paid to see" because it was hilarious. ("gently caress YOU, BUY MY DVD!")

The Salame thing really reminds me of a video I saw once. It was a guy with a bunch of puppets talking and singing songs. He appeared to be talking about religion for a while, bu when you paid attention he was talking about outer space and aliens. In relation to religion. And it looked like a public access kid's show.It was weird.

He did a skit for them that they have been showing on their live tour (and it supposed to be shown in episode 6 I believe). It's decent, starts like a porn but turns in to him singing to a porn actress about how there are other ways to show love than with sex.

That video is the most awesome thing I've ever seen. Oh my god. That singing alien is just incredible. "He wasn't always grey, spending a little while on Earth turned him grey. :haw:"

After watching last night's episode again, I think I like it better now. It took me two viewings to fully appreciate the "Here She Comes" sketch. Not to mention the "Salame" song was drat catchy. I still thought it was one of the weaker episodes, but even a weak episode of Tim and Eric is great.

You don't expect anyone here to agree with you, right? Because of course you're entitled to your opinion and everything, but coming into a thread where everyone's talking about how much they like T&E and then posting about how much you hate it seems kind of silly to me.

But hey, what do I know? After all, I love Saul of the Mole Men too.
