Reading through this thread from the beginning is a trip. Time travel.

Yeah, I'm in the garage. Yeah, I have horrible cable management. Yeah, I have a three year old son so this is the only place I can watch anything other than Pixar movies.

Claire Niveau: I've been around a bit. I've seen some creepy things in the movie business. This is the most disgusting thing that's ever happened to me.

Elliot Mantle: I doubt that.
Denon AVR-S760H
Benq HT2050 1080p projector (due to be upgraded to 4Ke this year, but still going strong since 2017 with a single bulb replacement)
120" pulldown screen
Polk PS10 / PSw10
Polk R50 R/L
4x Polk T15

Not the highest fidelity audio by any means but it's fine; the frequency with which I am able to exceed like 30% volume is very low at this moment and this is mostly a Gumball Adventure zone for kiddos.

My own personal AV setup is much weirder and generally a lot less useful to normal people, but sometimes I ask the kids if they want to watch something in here, VHS to projector after being absolutely mutilated by a bunch of LZX analog video synths.

If I'd known I was getting into this nonsense in 2022-2023 I wouldn't have purged all the coax and RCA cables from my boxes in 2012; feels silly as gently caress to be rebuying that poo poo. LZX RCA sync cables are like $5/pop, ha (but also YMMV carrying LZX sync on cheap cables)

I was looking at that first image as if it was a normal sized monitor and thinking what's with the tiny trampoline.

Main system is 7.1.4,I (I only use stereo mode for 2 channel music.)
Pro-Ject RPM 5, Cambridge phono preamp, Ortofon LVB 250 Black, Denon 6800 in full preamp. 13 Outlaw Audio watt monoblocks, Arendal THX 1723S towers, Arendal dual 15 inch driver sub ported. Shield with 48 TB of TV and movies. Roku max, Multi region 4K Blu Player, Multi Region Blu Ray player, Mulit Region, Non multi players (of the prior 3 so I don't wear them the multi's out) 2 CD players, and a Mindisc player (not sure why I hooked it up, nostalgia most likely). All ran with one Harmony 550 (Harmony, you will be missed when you shut down in he end of May)

Killer setup! I'm a bit jealous. I had to give up my ambitions for a proper A/V room when we moved and had kids.

I have to ask, though, what are the jars of white and black pebbles for?

LOL, Everyone asks, robot vac leaves marks on the white speakers and before I mounted the turntable on the floor it was on a stand, add in the vac and expect a rogue robot attacking the stand and the needle skiding across the record.

Thanks, the jars are constantly the first what the heck question.

I should go full snake oil trolling and say the reduce the ions in the air and properly restore the impact, air, dynamic range and synergy to the system and claim the cheap marbles in the jars are a grand per marble.

PS The kids moved out, I'm older, so disposable income is a bit better than the early days being a parent.
