Set HDMI-2 as a PC and it will accept and display a native 1080p signal (50/60Hz work, 24/25/48Hz studder at times). NetCommand will bitch about the sync type not being known and you should add a PC, but just hit the "OK" button a couple of times and the messages will go away.

What I did was buy/hack an Ikea Tobo (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20117674/) for my living room. I didn't bother attaching the metal legs and rebuilt the top drawer to serve as a center speaker cubby. You could modify one of the drawers to serve as a slide-out turntable shelf, too.

MMD3 posted:I'm still looking for a decent turntable/record stand. Something along the lines of this but hopefully a little more modern. Well I've got this Crowsley stand and it's actually quite fine once you remove the "LP" dividers on the bottom. I've got a Technics LP-12200mk2 sitting on top of some custom feet and it's been a great display platform and performer. There's a Cambridge Audio MM/MC Pre-Amp just below it, with a wonderful little PRO-Ject Head Box S included. All my LPs are stored a few feet away in a 4x2 Expedit. Classy. pastis fucked around with this message at 07:48 on Sep 23, 2012 |

Updated theater. Going for the minimalist approach this weekend. In all seriousness, I don't have any idea how I mounted all that crazy heavy rack equipment by myself years ago. I had to leave some faceplates for the new owners where I stripped the screws trying to remove them.
