Hi, i hope this is the right place to ask this question. I was wondering what this community thinks the "best value" for a 32" lcd tv is? I would perferably want to be able to plug and play a usb stick to play video out of the box or with a firmware mod or two. Thanks!

I got a vizio vl370m does anyone have experience with modding the firmware, namely, allowing video playback via the USB service port?

I have a costco vizio tv model VO42L. It has a USB port but I cannot play video files off of a thumbdrive. Anyone know how to get around this? Initial googling is not fruitful.

The thing is the TV and vizio does not promise video playback through the usb port. It is advertised as a "media port" which means pictures to them. I was wondering if there was any way to do this through perhaps a manipulation of the service menu or a firmware alteration. For example on my samsung tv I can change the model in the service menu and enable usb video playback.

Just bought this iSymphony set for $299 lightning deal a few days ago. Any opinions? I am a little weary of the offbrand and 60hz refresh rate, is it going to be noticeable? I am pretty excited for the internet apps though. Any idea what base operating system this is going to be? Will I be able to make it a linux box?

Does anyone know if there are custom firmwares out there for LG tv's? Specifically the LV4400 series?

I feel that with LG LED tv's only mode vivid looks the best regardless of what I am doing, am I doing something wrong? I want bright colors!
