The music on the radio at work makes me want to rage quit but the other day a song came on that was actually loving awesome. It has a kind of 70s feel to it, and the bass in the chorus (I assume it's the chorus) goes straight quarter notes right down the major scale (maybe at about 110 bpm: do-ti-la-so-fa-mi-re-do) and then the bass funks out while there's some trebly guitar funk chords oh man what is this song

Okay, I've tried it here before, but no luck. Recently, I've finally heard the song again, but the radio doesn't have a website or playlist!!! So I'm gonna try again, this time I recorded the chorus as best I could remember. The bass line goes down the major scale and the rhythm guitar funks out, the vocals have a bit of a 70s James Taylor vibe to them, I guess, anyway here goes

Here's one that's been on my mind recently... This might be vague... It's a synthy, slightly downtempo song that every once in a while has some videogamey sound effects sprinkled in, like a mario or a sonic ring sfx. It's chill, in a major key, and the bass line iirc just bops around on quarter notes in a I-V like pattern. It's not dubstep, but it's kind of synth-wavey with a beat. Heard it again on a Tik Tok fairly recently too, but I think the song's been around for a few years.

Simone Magus posted:Random guess but it sounds like it might be Dan Deacon, I guess, maybe? This is great, but the song I'm looking for is way more chill. I did a terrible recreation of it from memory (probably not the same key/notes/chords etc) https://soundcloud.com/zenguitarman/mystery-song-2
