I came across an album that had been uploaded to youtube a few years ago, 2012 maybe? and it was a psychedelic stoner rock album with lots of wah-y electric guitar solos, and the album art was predominantly yellow with I think a mountain shaped thing rising in the centre of it, it may have even had mountain in the album title but I'm not sure. Unfortunately all those terms are generic enough that plugging it in to google gives me a pretty wide assortment of results.

Hot Tuna's Yellow Fever, maybe? No mountain-shaped thing in the art, but otherwise, it might be kinda sorta a fit.

Going more strongly with the mountain thing, perhaps Mountain Climbing!?

Unfortunately it's not any of these. The music was more modern than that, released in the last 10 years I'd reckon.

No that's not it either. Thanks for the suggestions, but I must be misremembering something what I saw. I went through the youtube channels linked to those videos and couldn't find anything resembling what I had in my head either.

Does the chorus in Bungalow by Scott Helman sound farmiliar to any other songs for you all? His vocal inflection and the melody sound a lot like something else to me but I can't pin point it.

Sounds like any of the Mumford and Sons singles to me

I'm looking for a song featuring a male singer, probably someone oldish, with a deep voice. Off the top of my head, it might be Leonard Cohen or someone who sounds like him. The song also has what sounds like a childrens choir. As I recall, the old man and the childrens choir were singing at different times. They might have been repeating eachother slightly.

I didn't catch any of the words but the song sounded ever so slightly like Hallelujah and my best guess is that the theme is in the vicinity of religion, possibly Christmas.

Doesn't quite fit the deep voice, but maybe Gomorrah by Rodriguez?

There's one song that's on the tip of my tongue and it's driving me nuts. The title is just "Blood" and it's a country-ish number whose final verse is:

I had called you before.
I ran to the door.
My feet slipped on the floor.
There was just so much blood.

But the song title is making searches a pain in the butt.

Are you 100% on those lyrics? This is the only thing I can think of that would match that description except for the lyrics, but lyrics like that do crop up

Okay this is hella vague, but I'm looking for a song that was trance//edm and it had a music video set up like an endless runner style pixelated (sci fi) video game. I think this guy wakes up from stasis and spends the video kicking rear end and heading toward the bigbad. It was really catchy, but I only saw//heard it ONCE. :gonk:

It wasn't this was it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egcXvqiho4w Also NWS

Almost has to be a 1970s song because of the 1970s-sounding production. It's something I heard on an oldies station.

Male artist singing solo.

Chorus has "go to the city" or "in the city."

The word "move" might be in the chorus as well. Perhaps "move to the city."

Maybe Al Green?

Heard a song on Mayer Hawthorne's instagram story a while ago so that should indicate what kind of thing it sounds like, it was a soul/r&b song that sounded like it was from the late 70's that had a part that sounded almost note for note like the beginning descending notes of the SPECTRE theme song.

Every "sounds like" search brings up Earth Song by Michael Jackson, but it's way more overt than that that it could even be a sample

I'm not so convinced but it is the right era, so worth a quick listen I guess

That's not it, I can kinda hear it in there but it was way more obvious than that

I was in a sushi bar and heard a song with lyrics mostly in an Asian language, with a female vocalist. The only English that I could make out was "I would do anything for you" and this was repeated at several points through the song. Very pop sounding (not like dance music though) and it had a single guitar in it.
