Okay, I'm looking for a music video.
It premiered on MTV2 around 2000/2001. I can't remember too much about the band or the song other than they might have sounded like the generic rock that was popular at the time the Hives, the Strokes, etc...
But the video was pretty cool, it featured the band standing in front of wallpaper sort of like this:

and at one point they held giant crayons up the wallpaper, and the wallpaper moved while they stood in place and made all these crazy and violent designs.

Closest I can get is "Do What You Want" by OK Go but it doesn't seem to match up too closely. Maybe you have two videos confused or something?

Not it, I have come across it in my search for that video though :(

I guess i should clarify, each member of the band was in front of a different piece of wallpaper, different colour, different design...
And then they just did this neat trick where the wallpaper moved independently of the guys standing in front of it.

I remember seeing a brief interview with the band talking about how much they loved the effect, and said the director wanted to keep how he did it secret or some such thing.
So it might have premiered on 120 minutes or something.

A little broad and generic but I'll give it a shot. Heard a song on the radio that plays obscure indie music. The song is fairly new I believe, has female vocals and it sounds like something from the Sgt. Peppers album - very whimsical and has a sort of "lucy in the sky with diamonds/being for the benefit of mr kite" feel to it (in terms of instrumentation). Don't know if her other songs sound like this but the one I heard definitely sounds like something that would come out of Sgt peppers.

Bat For Lashes or Florence + the Machine would be my guesses.

I'm 90% sure I heard this on some indie rock station on Sirius XM radio, but it may be from a recent movie or commercial.

I remember the chorus is a group of young males singing basically "Bah da bah da, da da da da, dah dah bah dah" but they start out higher, then go lower, then lower again, then they start to go back up.

I think the first time, there is some music playing when they do the chorus, then later in the song, it's just the chorus singing that.

It's indie-alternative-pop but it still has a very radio friendly sound to it.

The first time the singer (male) starts to sing something, he sings "Lately, I feel that...", although I may be wrong, and the lyrics may be off.

Eh, it's not exactly what you described, but this was the first thing that came to mind:

I have one though, can anyone tell me what the "Away Away" part of this song is from:

There's some rave band that may or may not be British with both female and male vocalists that uses a lot of early video game sound effects as their beats. Like Megaman sound effects turned into their beats. The vocals are usually heavily stereo distorted, sometimes beyond coherency. Any help?

A song that sounded like something out of the 1950's came on NPR.
Lyrics, which are horribly off:
What does a man need to survive in this world?
Other men.
What does he do with them?
He eats them whole.

A woman, in an opera-ish voice sings the chorus, too.

Sounds like "Second Threepenny Finale" from 3 Penny Opera.
It's been covered by Tom Waits, Pet Shop Boys, and others as "What Keeps Mankind Alive?"

I'm looking for a music video, early 2000's.
The video features the band in front of this black Victorian wallpaper, and then there are different shots of each of them holding giant crayons up to the wall, the band member and and camera move together while wallpaper stays in place. Something like that, it was an interesting effect.
Don't remember any of the lyrics, but I think they sounded similar to the Strokes, the Hives, the... all those bands that were popular at the time.

I was hobbling through the grocery store for a few forgotten items when I recognized the song that was playing. Rather, I recognized that I remember hearing it ages ago and liked it. Now the only lyric that I can remember is "And what did you get?" followed by a few more lyrics and then again with the "And what did you get?"

It's driving me goddamn crazy. Mashing the lyrics into google and youtube isn't yielding any results, so maybe I am misremembering the lyric? It sounded like a 90s song and was pretty upbeat, too.

It's from 2007, but reminds me of this Paramore song:

I heard a song that sounded a lot like the Decemberists, it repeated the name Lucy, and possibly Regina.
The only lines I remember are "If you've come for love" and "I've found my place"

This is a slightly backwards one... the chorus of Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye reminds me heavily of an old song from the 70s or 80s. I keep thinking Peter Gabriel, but I can't place it. Does anyone else get deja vu?

edit: it's not a general thing, it's the chord change/melody specifically.

I've had the same problem with this song, other than Peter Gabriel, its always reminded me a bit of the Police.

A friend of a friend had the album and I want to say the band name had "boys" in it. Maybe.

is the original, but I'm SURE I've heard a cover which is much slower, more chill-out style, and as far as I know doesn't include the lines on from "now let me tell you 'bout the way she looked....." to the start of the repeat (ie, everything after the first "she's not there"). Style wise it's be something more along the lines of moby, morcheeba, Massive Attack or Portishead. It may have been used in a UK TV show or advert

I forget how the beginning goes but near the end it switches to half as fast and the singer is like "am I going crazy? am I going loving crazy? Doesn't anyone around here speak English? Everyone's acting like I'm loving crazy or something! Doesn't anyone speak English here??!?!?" He's not singing anymore, just yelling it like he's surrounded by people who cant hear him.

Getting a lot of hits for em's "my dad's gone crazy" and some other unrelated stuff. This might have been a NYC or Boston band. Any ideas?

Pandora used to send me a song that was so ridiculous I just had to love it. It was a kind of techno-y thing with a guy singing in a sort of Russian accent. It was about cosmonauts. The closest I remember to the lyrics went something like "I am the cosmonaut/I'm in the rocket (rocking?) spot/I'm going to take a chance on the big time." A chorus of women sometimes repeated it. Google lyric searches haven't turned it up and Pandora hasn't thrown it at me for a while.

In my infinite wisdom I managed to forget which station it was on and what it was called.

That would be Cosmonaut by Sweet Snacks.

Looking for two videos, both came out early 00s.

One had a video of a guy on a date with his blow-up doll, only it kept trying to murder him, the only lyrics I remember are something about how she's a killer loose on the streets.
Musically and visually kind of reminds me of Clinic's Walking With Thee.

The other video was some rock band performing in front of a black wall, at some point they start drawing on it with crayons, but it's a neat looking effect where they were standing still and the wall and camera were moving together. Seem to remember them sounding like The Strokes.

The word "move" might be in the chorus as well. Perhaps "move to the city."

Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence has a lot wandering around mountains and grassy hills.
