Howdy peoples...

Looking for a song by Andy Prieboy or Wall of Voodoo.

It's about a Vietnam War hero named I think Camel Floss?

Thanks for the help... Looking up Google's giving me nothing.

Edit... In retrospect, it may have been "Camouflage" but Camel Floss sounds better...
Edit 2: Seems I'm not the only one:

I was at a concert the other night, and part of the between-set stuff on the PA was a folk song of some sort that my phone wouldn't recognize, probably partly because we were too close to the stacks. It involved a long opening verse talking poo poo about various presidents of the 20th century, and then a later verse describing multiple religious figures as "nothing." Does that ring any bells for anyone?

I've heard this... I'm sure... at least the eighties version... but I can't remember it. The structure of

quote:

"[person's name] - nothing
[another name] - nothing
[another name] - nothing"
sounds very familiar. Let me think about it....

Edit: GAAAHHH There's ninety thousand odd songs in this list with the search term "nothing"
https://www.lyrics.com/serp.php?st=nothing
Edit 2: I just went through 8 pages of .Nixon' and 22 pages of 'Kennedy' - nothing leaped out at me though. Sorry... I'm sure I've heard this but can't remember any details. Try and remember one coherent sentence or phrase in the lyrics and we may have a chance.

Heard this song with lyrics something like this -

I'm feeling (seeing)? more and more each day
where I'm going or where I'll stay
what I give it takes away

I see the mountains and the lakes
I'll drive my car without the breaks

Song is probably from the last few years, and a generic indie-rock sound (kind of Imagine Dragons-esque). Googling has been of no use, which is odd, since I've heard it enough times.

Any ideas?
It wasn't "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" by Nirvana was it?

quote:

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go
I'm going where the cold wind blows
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

Her husband, was a hard working man
Just about a mile from here
His head was found in a driving wheel
But his body never was found

My girl, my girl, don't lie to me
Tell me where did you sleep last night
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

My girl, my girl, where will you go
I'm going where the cold wind blows
In the pines, in the pines
Where the sun don't ever shine
I would shiver the whole night through

There is a song that is by a female vocalist with a somewhat motown or maybe at the latest, 70's adult contemporary kind of arrangement that goes, in a very lilting tone, "Huggin, and kissin, and squeezin, and lovin'" or some similar combination of words as the main hook, which repeats throughout the song (words possibly change). It is kind of innocent in tone, and not as horny than even those lyrics make it sound. I'm sorry but that's all I've got.

It is not:

Kissin and a Huggin by Joan Armatrading

So I know the song name... it's called "Color Climax" (because it features a backing track and uh... dialog from one a pornographic movie)

I can't remember the band. May have been Mr.Bungle or Primus... definitely of that ilk. (It's NOT "Girls of Porn" by Bungle). Pretty sure it was a bonus or hidden track at the end of an album.

Google search has been giving me nothing.

Don't ask me about the lyrics, because I don't think there was any... Pepsi gets a mention in the dialog though.

I'm trying to identify a song from the early 90s (possibly late 80s?), but I have very little information on it aside from these facts:

- The song was entirely on the piano
- I'd guess the genre was something like jazz piano, as a result?
- This particular song was a very lively one, the rest of the CD was pretty chill
- My dad used to play it on our Macintosh in like 1995 (he doesn't recognize the melody)
- The CD cover was blue (or maybe grey?) and had a picture of some bearded guy on the back

And a crappy reproduction of the main melody that I made in Renoise:

I can't find poo poo on the internet about it. I don't expect anyone to recognize it, but hopefully someone does or I'm liable to just give up and assume it was never real cause seriously it's been 25+ years.

Ok... arguing right now bout this with some friends about a song just played.

King Crimson song. Fripp era. There's a lot of background noise where I am so can't give you lyrics...

Uh... Fripp guitar best way I can describe;

"Ohhh-oooooh...oooh wood ohhhh..."

With the drummer playing nothing but tapping on a cymbal.

No it was his Frippertronics sound, very minimalist... I only caught the end, but similar tempo guitar to "Here comes the flood" (maybe..?), but different melody. And just a tapping of a cymbal to close...

Edit: I guess it may have been Fripp solo...

Hey, looking for a song... was very popular as a base for a meme a few years back (around 2015-2018 I think...)

Starts with a single acoustic with some simple strumming

Launches into a bass and electric riff after a couple of bars.

I think it was a "get rekt" meme or a "how did I get here" sort of thing.
