While clearing out some old files, I found this song clip that I must have been saving for identification later. That was six years ago. It apparently came from a movie or TV show which explains the background noise. Would somebody give it a shot? Thanks!

The song was named something like "Tightly Wound" or "Tightly Bound". I can't find it. The guy who made that was/is a goon. The girls in the video are not in the band but the band gave its okay to make the video.

SkunkDuster posted:I know the song and the artist. I'm hoping somebody can identify the significance of "Norman, Okla" in Reunion's "Life is a Rock". Looking at the wikipedia page of notable people, the only thing that stands out is that Conway Twitty lived there. After several minutes of intense google-fu, I have come to the conclusion that it references Norman Dolph, who co-wrote the song and he's from Oklahoma.

Way, way the gently caress back in the early 70s (no later than 1973), my sisters got a record player for Christmas. It came with a big stack of cut-out 45s (each had a hole drilled into it like this): There was one record I have been trying to find. I believe it was called "Ninety-Nine Years". It was about a man going to prison and saying goodbye to his girlfriend/wife. The only line I remember is, "Give me ninety-nine years of your loving". I think the label was a dark blue with a silver-ish blue logo. I have found several songs with the same title, but none are the song I am looking for. Anybody have any idea?

Erebus posted:Have you tried searching for ninety-nine years at discogs.com? They have a lot of photos of old record labels and you might see something you recognize. Thanks, I tried that and I saw one that was close, but a) the year was way off, b) I can't find a recording of the song, and c) it was part of an EP and I'm pretty sure this was just a regular single. The bad thing is that I don't know if the song was the a-side or the b-side. It's not massively important that I find it, but it's just one of those things that eat part of your brain.

Trying to figure this one out. It was a 60s(?) pop-jazz instrumental, very popular, and mostly trumpet. It goes something like this: Buh-da BAH BAH BAH DA BAH Buh-da BAH BAH BAH DA BAH Buh-da BAH BAH BAH DA BAH Buh-da BAH BA DAH Buh buh da bah da

Scott Lame posted:Looking for an imitation Beach Boys song from probably '65-75, in the vein of "Beach Baby" by First Class. The chorus started with the phrase "Over the weekend" and I'm fairly sure that was the title. But it is definitely not the Playboys song by that title nor the Nancy Wilson song. It's more up tempo and bubble gummy than either of them. This is a stretch since it's from 1979: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaL7P3NEo0I Wet Willie Older possibility: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lT9k7R6kws The Move - Weekend

I just heard this song on the radio and couldn't get to my phone fast enough. It's a medium tempo rock song - possibly early 90s grunge. I only caught the chorus and couldn't understand what the singer was saying. Each line ended with a slight pause and then a name(?): something, something, something, something, SAMMY something, something, something, something, BUDDY Any ideas?
