I really need to know the name and/or artist of the song in this flash movie. Help a brother out?

The sampled part sounds like "Got to Be Real" by Cheryl Lynn.

This one might be hard because it is so old.

I used to listen to it on 8-track and I have no idea who it was or what year it's from, but I've been told that it was most likely Olivia Newton John. I basically searched every one of her songs and could not find this song though.

The song has something to do with a bridge, possibly a bridge being burned down or something, and it's definitely a woman singing.

I know that's not very much to go on but that's all I remember from this song and I remember it being an excellent song back in the day on the 8-track player.

It was pretty catchy and I assume it was pretty popular maybe in the 60's-70's.

Thanks for your help if you can help me find this awesome song that has something to do with a bridge.

Sounds like "Burning Bridges". The Mike Curb Congregation recorded it in the early 70's. Donny Osmond did a cover of it and he had a high-pitched voice which sounded feminine.

Mike Curb's Greatest Hits at Amazon w/clips

Lyrics:

Friends all tried to warn me
But I held my head up high
All the time they warned me
But I only passed them by
They all tried to tell me
But I guess I didn't care
I turned my back and
Left them standing there

All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
Burning bridges lost forevermore

Joey tried to help me find a job
A while ago
When I finally got it I didn't want to go
The party Mary gave for me
When I just walked away
Now there's nothing left for me to say

All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
Burning bridges lost forevermore

Years have passed and I keep thinking
What a fool I've been
I look back into the past and
Think of way back then
I know that I lost everything I thought I that could win
I guess I should have listened to my friends

All the burning bridges that have fallen after me
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everyone I left behind each time I closed the door
Burning bridges lost forevermore

Burning bridges lost forevermore

While clearing out some old files, I found this song clip that I must have been saving for identification later. That was six years ago. It apparently came from a movie or TV show which explains the background noise. Would somebody give it a shot?

Thanks!

I'm trying to find the video that some guy made to some indie song where he filmed three pretty girls walking through forests and meadows and such. The song was named something like "Tightly Wound" or "Tightly Bound". I can't find it.

edit: Found it http://vimeo.com/1821118

The guy who made that was/is a goon. The girls in the video are not in the band but the band gave its okay to make the video.

I know the song and the artist. I'm hoping somebody can identify the significance of "Norman, Okla" in Reunion's "Life is a Rock". Looking at the wikipedia page of notable people, the only thing that stands out is that Conway Twitty lived there.

After several minutes of intense google-fu, I have come to the conclusion that it references Norman Dolph, who co-wrote the song and he's from Oklahoma.

I have a bet with a coworker and I get a free lunch if I can identify this song/music video:
- Music video most likely broadcast on MTV between 1982-1987
- Artist is a male pop/rock singer recognized as a solo artist
- Video was performed on a flatbed truck (similar to the Rolling Stones) driving through New York City
- There were jugglers and strippers in the video
- The artist was known to sometimes wear women's clothing

It sounds like Buster Poindexter's "Hot Hot Hot" (1987), but he's not on a flatbed truck.

Way, way the gently caress back in the early 70s (no later than 1973), my sisters got a record player for Christmas. It came with a big stack of cut-out 45s (each had a hole drilled into it like this):

There was one record I have been trying to find. I believe it was called "Ninety-Nine Years". It was about a man going to prison and saying goodbye to his girlfriend/wife.

The only line I remember is, "Give me ninety-nine years of your loving". I think the label was a dark blue with a silver-ish blue logo.

I have found several songs with the same title, but none are the song I am looking for.

Anybody have any idea?

Have you tried searching for ninety-nine years at discogs.com? They have a lot of photos of old record labels and you might see something you recognize.

Thanks, I tried that and I saw one that was close, but a) the year was way off, b) I can't find a recording of the song, and c) it was part of an EP and I'm pretty sure this was just a regular single. The bad thing is that I don't know if the song was the a-side or the b-side.

It's not massively important that I find it, but it's just one of those things that eat part of your brain.

Googled a bit and came up with "Guilty of loving you" by Jerry Fuller. Has the blue label and the lyrics "Give me 99 years of your lovin' / Cause I'm guilty of wanting you so."

That might be it, but I swear the label said "Niney-nine Years".

Thanks for the info.

Trying to figure this one out. It was a 60s(?) pop-jazz instrumental, very popular, and mostly trumpet. It goes something like this:

Buh-da BAH BAH BAH DA BAH
Buh-da BAH BAH BAH DA BAH
Buh-da BAH BAH BAH DA BAH
Buh-da BAH BA DAH
Buh buh da bah da

Looking for an imitation Beach Boys song from probably '65-75, in the vein of "Beach Baby" by First Class. The chorus started with the phrase "Over the weekend" and I'm fairly sure that was the title. But it is definitely not the Playboys song by that title nor the Nancy Wilson song. It's more up tempo and bubble gummy than either of them.

This is a stretch since it's from 1979:

I just heard this song on the radio and couldn't get to my phone fast enough.

It's a medium tempo rock song - possibly early 90s grunge. I only caught the chorus and couldn't understand what the singer was saying. Each line ended with a slight pause and then a name(?):

something, something, something, something, SAMMY
something, something, something, something, BUDDY

Any ideas?

Caught the back half of a song on the radio this afternoon. Can't remember the lyrics, but they did say it was by Linda Ronstadt, which amused me because the couple of songs of hers I had heard before I hadn't liked.

Guitar reminded me a bit of the Beatles' Yesterday, in both sound and chord progression. The song had strings, very baroque pop that initially made me think it was (probably) older than what this has to be by a few years. I had initially thought it was 1965-67ish because it felt like Wrecking Crew stuff of that era.
