I'm in a similar situation, although mine is mainly for movies. While the Yamaha Sound Projector sounds cool, for aesthetic purposes, I'd definitely like floor-standing speakers.

The DVD player is going to be part of any Home Theater in Box set you pick up, otherwise, you can just look for a separate receiver and speaker system. I've been perusing CNET's reviews just looking for products like Sony's DAV-X1V. I'm not sure this is what I'm looking for, but something like this would be nice.
