Yeah the old batch script didn't pack one of the rdf files, that may have caused it to continually think it was out of date. On that note.. New Update!. (1.99.080509) Avatar hiding and the return of the config link. Known Issues - See the second post (probably out of date!) - The context menu seems to have vanished for the Firefox 3 beta, can anyone else confirm this? Changelog - Added functionality for the hiding of individual posters' avatars (including text). There is a new dynamic "(Show/Hide) Avatar" link at the end of the user links bar at the bottom of each post. Bug fixes - Fixed the "Configure SALR" link not showing up in the forum header when that option was checked. - Restored proper manifest and the missing rdf file.

I have an annoying problem that popped up somewhat recently. When I'm using the mouse gestures to navigate threads/forums, when I release the right mouse button, the Firefox context menu opens. This only happens on my laptop and it's kind of annoying, because I then have to click outside of the context menu to close it, every time. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling SALR, and disabling and reenabling this feature and it still persists. Any suggestions?

I'm having the "SA Last Read options" on the right click menu appear at the top of the right click list on sites other than SA. It comes and goes. It will sometimes last through firefox restarts any other times it will not. I will try to pin down if another site in particular causes this to happen. It was just happening in all my tabs, I closed firefox, restarted, opened 3 tabs and went to three different webpages, all had the SA last read options at the top of my right click menu. I closed all the tabs and came to post this and now it is only on the bottom of the right click menu of the SA tab and not present in other tabs like usual. Anyway, I know this is a big ramble but just a heads up and I'll report back when I have some more solid info on what causes it.

I'm probably going to sound like an idiot here, but I just switched from firefox to opera since firefox became a crashtastic piece of poo poo and I have no idea how to get the oepra version of SALR working. Clicking on the links just takes me to a page with some coding or something on it while in ff is just auto downlaoded the patch or whatever it was. Help please?

I recently reinstalled Firefox, and SALR is broken. Showing number of replies puts the numbers on top of the last read button. Highlighting threads with new posts does not work, and moving threads with new posts to the top does not work. I've tried deleting the extension folders and doing a fresh install. Here is the error I'm getting: Please help; I'm having withdrawal.

For some reason all of a sudden (as of yesterday I think?) threads that I've read but have no new posts aren't showing up as having been read at all in the forum thread view. Within the individual thread however it is remembering that the posts have been read. I'm using the most current version from the OP and Firefox 2.0.0.14.

One thing I've noticed is that my settings are saved when I try to clean and reinstall SALR. Are there addon files hiding out somewhere that I'm missing? Most of the SALR settings are saved in prefs.js in your Firefox profile folder (but don't just delete that file, it generally holds all the settings for all of your extensions). You can clean them out by either deleting all the "extensions.salastread.*" lines manually in the file or by going to about :config and deleting them there. All of your user coloring settings and some miscellaneous other data about individual threads and users are saved in salastread.sqlite, which is also in the root of your Firefox profile, along with saforumlist.xml and salastread.xml.

Check the `Show new replies count in the replies column`. That's your only choice.

After rigorous testing and hair pulling I noticed there was a subtle typo in one of the table definitions that was preventing you from installing fresh but allowing existing DBs to be patched. Sorry about that, fixed now. Anyone suffering from complete brokenness should delete their salastread.sqlite after updating, a fixed one will be generated. New Update!. (1.99.080516) Known Issues - See the second post (probably out of date!) Changelog - "Don't display pop up error messages" is now off by default, not having them just causes confusion when things aren't working. If you want them off go back into settings and re-check it. - In addition to the main forum index, your username is now pulled from the redirect page every time you log in, hopefully that will clear up a lot of the username sync issues. - While filtering a thread by userid, clicking on the "?" link under a post again while take you back to that post in context in the unfiltered thread. - Removed some depricated archives-related code. Bug fixes - Fixed a typo in the userdata table definition that broke fresh installations. - Fixed an error in very rare cases when the thread Author or Killed By columns are not links (generally when a user has been removed from the forums completely). - Mouse gesture navigation should now maintain custom "daysprune=" settings from page to page. - Not really a bug fix but someone mentioned it and I have confirmed for certain that mouse gesture navigation while filtering a thread by userid maintains the filter from page to page (I fixed that a while ago). If it still doesn't work for you then you are dumb and I hate you (but report it anyway).
