Regular old dawn dish soap works great at killing fleas on the cheap. Lather her up really good starting at the head and let it sit for 5 minutes then rinse off.

Nope! Its actually really mild stuff. Not sure if it is tearless mild, but as far as skin irritation goes its fine. People don't like their skin irritated when they wash dishes either.
